9 AM tailgate for a 1PM kickoff isn't too bad...oh wait.

Ok, so the NFL is at its Final 4. So, with limited data, I'm predicting Philly/KC in the Superb Owl. But, if Wash and Buff win, I won't be "shocked". Wash has been riding a wave lately and it could take them to the Big Game. Buff has been denied numerous times by KC. Perhaps they finally break on through to the other side. Should be fun.

Daniels is so damn accurate. Can’t really teach that and for me, that’s the most important trait for a QB. Too many evals go crazy over arm strength and it is important….but if you can’t hit your spots doesn’t matter.

I am curious to see what Johnson can do with Caleb Williams in Chicago.

Reminds me of 2003 when it looked like we might be heading to a Red Sox vs. Cubs World Series (and the inevitable subsequent implosion of planet Earth) and we all know how that turned out.

So, it'll be Chiefs vs. Eagles
Man I hate that I called this 6 weeks ago.
Boourns to this matchup.

I’ll be cheering for the Chiefs because, well, I actually like them and think the refs bias argument is annoying.

But…this “First team to 3-Peat” storyline needs to just stop already. They would not be the first team to do it in the NFL, and I don’t want to hear the “but..but…Super Bowl era”. Doesn’t matter. Packers have done it twice.

You're not wrong, but differentiating between pre and post super bowl era is pretty common.

I think the "the refs play for the Chiefs" people are stupid.

That said - we need a fix for yardage situations. It could be as simple as changing the criteria for overturning from "clear" to "more likely than not." Could also be that the change is that the refs don't even make a call one way or the other on the field unless it was clear.

It seemed like Allen got over the line. But it certainly wasn't clear. If no call was made on the field, the refs would probably have decided that Allen got the first down. But because the criteria is that it has to be clear and obvious that he did, there's no way to change that call because you can't be 100% certain that the ball crossed the line because of how many people are bunched together.

It's also kind of absurd that tennis can figure out if a ball being hit 120 mph is in or out within 5 seconds of a challenge but the NFL can't figure out if the ball crossed the first down marker in a 10 minute review.

Yep you brought up the tennis analogy. It's flawless and the technology is actually there. I'm of the opinion that every ball should have a microchip and the field equipped to automatically determine where the ball should be spotted.

I also think EVERY play should be up for review as long as it's done by the booth and doesn't result in a commercial break.

Not that the Packers were going to win, but a simple booth correction on the opening kickoff of Burks helmet to helmet on Nixon causing a fumble that Nixon actually recovered but somehow the Eagles got the ball could have potentially changed that game a little bit from a momentum perspective. Just too many plays like this that are really making the game tough to watch lately.

Athletes are so strong and fast these days that the game just moved way too fast to rely on on human eyes to get the calls right every time. This goes across all sports.

Wish we'd invest less in the analytic research that makes things unwatchable in many circumstances and spend more on technology that makes sure that the correct call is made every time, and made quick enough so as not to impact the flow and viewability of the game.

I like Andy Reid and think he got a raw deal from Eagles fans... but woof what an awful coaching job yesterday all around.

How about you make, I dunno, any adjustments to make sure your quarterback has time to throw the ball? Or you mix in some runs and some quick plays to keep him on his feet? No? Just gonna keep on keeping on? Cool. If you said the Chiefs would hold Saquon in check before the game you would have thought that KC was gonna win. Credit if course to the Eagles defense but jeez man make an adjustment.

Worst Super Bowl in a long time. Absolute dud to anyone not from Philly.

On to more important things... March Madness, NBA playoffs and BASEBALL

Worth noting that when Brady was down by 20+ at halftime against Atlanta, he came back and won.

Also, total points differential in Brady's 3 SB losses = 15
In Mahomes's 2 losses = 40

Let's cool the "best of all time" talk on Mahomes for a while.

At least that one Philly fan that lost his season tickets and job must be hitting linked in with a different pep in his step today.

Thank goodness we're onto the 2025 season.
