Good Evening, I just got a call from my brother at Oakland for the second show, and they played A Sort of Homecoming!! Cool, I realized they played it a Slane, but this is cool!! Sadly I was supposed to be with him, but my father-in-law passed away on Tuesday unexpectedly, so I am home grieving. This was the bit of news that I needed to cheer me up!! I'll be at the Sac show, hope to see some Interferencers there!! My brother mentioned that tonight's show is heads and tails better than last nights at that point(in his humble opinion).

But you take what you can get
'Cause it's all that you can find
Oh, you know there's something more
But tonight, tonight, tonight

Great, Sac will be fun! My brother just called me with more info, they also played Slow Dancing!! Incredible. He said the energy was intense, and Bono really seemed to be on tonight. I'm heading to Arco Arena early (well as early as I can get away from work and stuff), so I can, hopefully, get into the heart.

THAT WAS SO AWESOME!!!
Oakland #2 rocked, maybe more than Oakland #1! OH MY GOD! A SORT OF HOMECOMING

I was so happy, but to be honest, Bono really did a job on the words~! It was still very exciting, since UF is my fav album of all time!
They also played Slow Dancing, which was great. A girl kinda jumped on stage during Until the End World, and I don't think she was chosen she just kinda dove up there. So she kinda screwed up the bull fight, and instead Bono and her were kinda laying on the ground, It seemed as if Bono didn't know what to do with her.
Anyways, the show was great, I am sad, my U2 week is over, no more shows for me, unless I get crazy and somehow fit in Sacramento, which might = divorce.
Loved when Bono said "Maybe we'll just play here every Monday night, although we would have to get divorced and you all would go broke!" cute!
Too tired to remember other details!
OH!!!
EDGE came out and signed my ZooTV program!
And my mom had my Boy record cover, and he signed that too!
It's all been a great 4 U2 shows for me this week!!!

From U2tours:
Bono brings a female fan on stage during '...End of the World' and she takes part in the 'duel' with Edge. Bono brings fan Scott Perretta on stage to play guitar - Scott begins 'A Sort of Homecoming' before Bono and Edge realize what he's playing. They soon join in and play a spirited version, even though Bono doesn't remember many lyrics. Gwen Stefani sings during 'What's Going On.' Bono reads some of the victims' names that scroll behind the band during 'One.'
I guess I'm gonna have to learn to play guitar or at lease learn how to play Spanish Eyes.

It sounds like another awesome show, thanks for the reviews everyone!

Woops, sorry, I posted at the same time you guys did here! See the thread "Just back from Oakland 2...INTENSE" I have just a couple of extra things. Such a great evening, I do wish they would play every Monday, just at a lower cost, and they could move their wives out here

. I am going to miss them and the love they bring!

See ya all in Sacramento! Wear an interference tag so we can recognize some people...beardog and others found me that way

hey everybody!!!!!!! oak 2 was friggin amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! whoo hoooo!!! A SORT OF HOMECOMING!!!!!!! SLOW DANCING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

here i came sacto!!!!!

It is now a tradition for U2 to play a so-so (even, dare I say, mediocre) first night, and then play and incredible, heart-stopping set the next evening. I was in San Jose for both shows, and the 4/20 was the greatest show I've ever seen, period, while the first night was fantastic, the energy the next night left me charged for 3 days! You'd think that with a day off that Bono would be recharged and be ready to go, but it seems he needs to warm up to deliver his best show. Either way I think Sacramento will be a great show. I just hope Bono is not worn down......

I definitely agree with you! I was at San Jose both shows but the second show just blew me away! And when they played "Stay" I nearly died!
