I don't think the Flint Tropics have any open roster space.
I'm sure his experience fighting kangaroos would be a plus on that roster.

That was a highly ethical tank job by the Zards right there
Are you sure they didn't just blow it? The youth all looked good though.

Sixers are 4-0(though they had to come from behind in 2 or 3 of them). Embiid didn't look half bad tonight. PG not even playing yet. Maxey is balling, Edgecomb looks good. Team is tantalizing, but you never bet on a team relying on Embiid and PG's health.

Start planning the parade route.

By NBA rules, this isn't a travel.

The reason is because Giannis could technically dribble again after the first three steps. It's like a stutter. His hand is over the ball. By the time he brings it together he only takes two steps. By the letter of the law (again only in the NBA) this is clean. It is the dreaded gather step(s).

And it's horseshit that it's clean. The players found a loop hole, specifically around the time Harden started becoming an MVP level player... and the league hasn't cleaned it up. It's absurd that this is legal.

I'll take any Giannis talk that doesn't involve him leaving. One of these days, maybe the national media will get their wish. They've been trying to manifest this since 2019! 😂

Joe Dumars has the possibility to make picking Darko over Melo, Wade and Bosh the second dumbest move he's ever made.

How the **** you give up an unprotected 1st round pick in order to move up 10 spots to take Derick Queen... when your team is in the West is unlikely to make the playoffs... in a draft where you have three possible franchise altering talents in Peterson, Dybantsa and Boozer? utterly baffling.

i don't think the Lakers want LeBron back next year regardless... but with the way Hillbilly Kobe is playing, their hand may be forced. with the new CBA you can't afford to give Bron 50 million, Luka 60 million, and Reeves 30 to 35... you'd 2nd apron yourself in no time.

I very much think nobody is giving LeBron 50 million, or even half that, next year. The Lakers pretty much publicly said over the summer that they don't care if he's there next season or not because they're fully focused on Luka now, and ever since then I've been operating under the assumption that LeBron will not be a Laker next season. I feel like the likely outcome is that next season is LeBron's last in the NBA, and he takes a minimum deal(or a BAE or MLE if the Cavs really want to give it) with Cleveland to end it where he started. TBH, I'm not sure any other team wants the circus of a LeBron farewell tour. I think the Lakers either pay him enough to stay(and I don't think they will) or it's Cleveland.

i don't think lebron's ego will allow him to go out without a farewell tour (which you'd assume he would announce before the season), nor do i think his ego would allow him to play for the minimum. he easily could have accepted less to stay in LA on the last contract and improve the team. he declined.

the end game with him is going to be fascinating. and messy. i can't wait.

example... would anyone be shocked if he wasn't actually hurt right now? i know i wouldn't be. i'm not saying he isn't - he's old, he might be. but if it came out that he was fibbing to, i dunno, put pressure on the lakers... avoid facing the press when two klutch clients, one of whom is a close friend, get busted for illegal gambling (which included sharing info on lebron).

it is way too early to make grand statements about a team's season. but i'm going to do that anyways.

this season of New Orleans Pelicans basketball may go down as one of the biggest clusterfucks of all time.

these MFers had both their own AND Indiana's first round pick in 2026 - both of which would be in the top 5 right now (and if Indiana's health issues continue, will likely stay there)... and somehow managed to trade them both away (unprotected!) over the course of 10 days last June... and all they got out of it was Derik Queen, who is currently listed as their third string center.

The Giddey/Caruso deal is looking more and more like one of those rare deals where everyone - both teams, both players - won. Giddey was never going to get a chance to do what he's doing now next to SGA; Caruso is one of the elite role players of his generation and belongs on a contender; We got what looks like a legitimate young piece we can build around/with; OKC got a bolster to their depth and POA defense that was important to their title and their aspirations to repeat.
