do not sleep on Orlando and Detroit. Cade is a top 10 player in the league who just doesn't quite realize that yet. they probably beat the Knicks if Stewart was healthy in the playoffs. Orlando will be a year better and just added a top line defensive wing.

and I wouldn't count out Boston, either.

they got younger and gained flexibility. wouldn't be shocked if they also traded White to free up more time for Pritchard. like OKC - they have depth and options. they're slicing off the old and injured to save money, but they'll still be good.

should be a ton of movement tonight - and more in the weeks to come.

It's kind of cool that teams like Orlando and Detroit are mentioned. As a fan of the league, it's nice to see a different champ every year, and small markets consistently competing. I know there's a rating fallout there, but as a fan, I love it.

gotta love it when your team's first round draft pick yells "FUCK" and pitches a fit as soon as they announce the pick.

one hour pon de road at caribana next month will solve all of that. gradey dick knows what's up.

A gambling industry source pointed to a game between the Bucks and the Portland Trail Blazers on Jan. 31, 2024. The odds on Beasley recording fewer than 2.5 rebounds moved significantly at sportsbooks before the game, shortening from around +120 to around -250 due to a surge of action on the under. Beasley finished with six rebounds, and the bets that were deemed unusual lost.

Unmmmmm... Beasley is being investigated for making the books money?

Well, if it went to -250 for under 2.5 REBs, that means it also moved to something like +200 for over 2.5 REBs, maybe there was a bait and switch scheme at play that Beasley was part of.

that's fair.

i know it looks bad again - but the whole argument in favor of bringing gambling out of the darkness was, specifically, to catch shit like this (oh, and make everyone billions of dollars).

so this is exactly what is supposed to happen.

eventually - you'd assume - players will see that if you go down this road you WILL get caught and it'll dry up. we're still relatively soon into this whole experiment. so we'll see.

I don't really know if I like the Bucks' moves but I'm wondering if their mindset is that with a wide open East, this makes them competitive next year instead of waiting for Dame to maybe come back, and also probably thinking Gary Trent Jr and Kevin Porter Jr will be a major contributors.

Oh that's definitely their mindset.

Whether they're crazy or not is still up for debate. They're essentially paying Turner, a slight upgrade over Brook Lopez, $50 million per year when you account for Turner's salary and Dame's deferred money.

Lopez signed with the Clippers for $9 million
