What a fun week this is turning out to be.
I woke up this morning with intense pain in my lower abdomen. So I made an appointment with my doctor for 11am, writhing around in untolerable pain until it's time to go.
I get to the doctor's, where after being told I need x-rays I get up (to change into the gown)and promptly pass out. I am rushed to emergency by the paramedics, where I spend the next 9 hours doing nothing but waiting for...nothing. (Oh yeah, I got 2 tests done that came back "OK") My pain seemed to have vanished mid-way through my visit. (They said it could have been anything from my ovaries to my kidneys-pick a fucking organ, will ya???????)
Finally, at about quarter to eight the doctor sees me and says that I'm discharged. But there is only 1 nurse on the floor and 2 people are waiting ahead of me to leave. At this point I had my jeans on, my IV was still in my arm, so I found the transporter and told her to get someone to take the IV out of my arm and to give me my papers or else I was walking in 15 minutes. I left at 8:01.
Someone had better be getting me a million dollars for Christmas.
