Sad ending to the Phillies game. Hate to see that.

On a happier note, can the Cubs actually finish this off?

Gut instinct? No.
Do I care what my gut says? No.

I am on pins and needles.

I'll be rooting for the Brew Crew in the NLCS and Mariners in the ALCS. It would be cool to see that matchup in the World Series. I'm guessing the suits want LA to be there. Lol!

Ohtani was superhuman last night. After the 2nd HR, I can't believe they pitched to him again.

The Mariners were almost dead last night. Good to see them still fighting.

A total of 4 runs over a 4-game sweep. Milwaukee can take their stupid L flag and shove it. What an embarrassment.
Imagine now having to admit that your favorite team lost to that embarrassment a round before.

Cubs at least pushed the series to the limit. They scored as many runs in a single inning as the Brewers did in 4 whole games.

A friendly reminder that the Dodgers are a buzzsaw who sleepwalked through most of the season because they could.

I mean... their starting pitcher last night threw 6 shutout innings, struck out 10... oh and went 3 for 3 with a walk and three home runs.

They would have done the exact same thing to the Cubs or Phillies, and will likely do the same thing to Seattle or Toronto.

And then Laz will drop by, post a Jack Nicholson gif and act like he's been here the whole time.

Yep. Actually, the fact that the Brewers keep making the playoffs every year with such a significantly low payroll is a feat of its own. Hopefully one year magic can happen and they go all the way.

Or maybe a different magic happens and the cheap owner increases payroll so they can add a significant piece or 2 to get over the top.

All of the years for Toronto to win it all, this would be the year. Especially after "someone" wanted to make Canada the 51st US state. The Mariners aren't dead yet, but it's not looking good.

I'd love to see Toronto win, but I'll say Dodgers in 7.

I saw something on Facebook last night that said there have been 5 years when one LCS was a sweep and the other LCS went 7 games. In the previous 4 times, the team that won in 7 went on to win the World Series. Interesting.

Sympathies to Seattle, kudos to Toronto.

Toronto has the power and pitching to make it interesting, but I think LA wins. The players probably hope Toronto wins, because LA rolling to another title is going to go hardcore after a salary cap

when a phillies fan is the only person trying to start a "let's go blue jays" at the official stadium watch party when the team is tied in extra innings in the world series, it's a little pathetic.

people in this town seem to just be happy their team is in the world series and don't actually care if they win it.

phillies fans would have torn the seats out of the stadium floor over that second inning double play bullshit. jays fans just shrugged and got in line for another free bag of popcorn.

On to 18. This is getting ridiculous.

I hope for the sake of the east coasters who are still up at 3 AM that the Jays win this.

by this i mean my friends and i were trying to get people to cheer with 2 strikes 2 outs in the 12th inning of a world series game. they reacted like we were trying to hype up a 12-1 game in the middle of june.

i could not ****ing believe how nonchalant the jays fans at the stadium were tonight.
