Yup, but Boston is losing tonight. Guess I jinxed them. It'd be cool if it all came down to the last game of the regular season.

Sorry, cheap shot.

Interesting to see that of the twelve 3-game Wild Card Series, the team with home-field has only won 4 of them.

I'll say Tigers in 3, Yankees in 3, Cubs in 2, and Dodgers in 2.

the Mets, who missed the playoffs via a tie breaker, lost all of these games.

if they went 12-11 in these 23 games - they'd finish with 95 wins.

they had a win potential of over 80% in all of these instances. if they had won 80% of these games, they would have finished the season with 101 wins - the best record in baseball.

which - i mean... ****ing ****, man.

3 instances of the bases loaded in the bottom of the 9th or later with less than one out. at home. all end up as loses. and 6 games where you had a 4 run lead or greater.

****ing baseball, man.

If the calzone loving old man were still alive, Boone would be canned.

Really surprised about the Dodgers/Phillies series. I thought Philly was the best team going into the playoffs. Not over yet of course though.

Now, I join my fellow Blue Crackers in lamenting another lost season for their respective teams. Will Boone and/or Cashman finally get the ax? The Jays whipped the Yankees handily. I'll keep watching the playoffs, though. It's ****in' baseball.
