Those were some insane final 2 innings.

Headache, you should be happy about the draw the Mets got. Wisconsin teams never win in the playoffs, except for when they do.

That was such a bullshit way for the season to end for Arizona fans due to the rescheduling. Both teams in the Mets-Braves match-up were guaranteed to get in because the Game 1 winner was always going to toss out lame pitchers for Game 2. Just a real shitty luck-of-the-draw for those fans due to weather.

Brewers owned us this year so I dunno. But what a magical run it's been just to get to this point. Like - the Mets NEVER win that kind of game in Atlanta. I still have nightmares from Kenny Rodgers walking in the winning run after we rallied to tie the game.

Yeah, I was happy to see it. I do feel like the playoffs are wide open this year, so it should be fun!

It's taken me a moment to process the death of Pete Rose. I was too young to know about him when he was a part of the Big Red Machine. I knew him from his days with the Phils and when they were World Champs in 1980. He was rocking the mullet at that time. And then, to my shock, he went to the Expos for a few months in '84. He just didn't look right in those Expos unis. Then quickly back to the Reds as player-manager that same year. Back home again. He became the Hit King and that's a title that won't be taken away from him. The team improved to perennial second placers with him as the manager. They were always on the cusp until 1989 when it all unraveled for him. Poor Pete had to watch from afar as that team won the World Series in 1990. A damn shame because he was a first ballot HoFer. Rose swore up and down of his innocence until 2004 when his book needed a gimmick. The gimmick of finally admitting his sin(s). Good gravy. I never read his book. I thought he should stay banned until MLB developed business partnerships with gambling websites/apps after years of shunning such practices. Now they look hypocritical. Now he's passed away and at some point, hopefully Pete Jr. can make a speech and cry that his dad finally got inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame.

Ahhh it's game one. Obviously a good start as the game one winner wins 88% of the time but the Brewers are a good team. We were able to mostly keep your fast guys off base yesterday and that was key. They ran us wild in every regular season game. Meta pitching staff is terrible at holding guys on and Alvarez is so so with his arm.

It's a really good sign that JD Martinez is hitting for usz though. He has a brutally bad September. But if he's making contact he really extends the lineup depth. If Alonso can finally get hot things might get really interesting this fall (although if he stays meh he'll be easier to resign).

oh, @mikal - you'll have to explain to me why the Brewers hate Winker so much. he seems to have been fully embraced by the Mets clubhouse since the trade with the Nats.
Lol I probably need to follow baseball more because I’m not sure what the deal with that is.

I’m too busy trying to figure out what to do with Tyreek Hill on my fantasy team.

If the Brewers go on a run and win this whole thing, last night will be etched in their history as the launching pad. But Wisconsin sports, they'll most likely blow it tonight.
