This is my"I just got home and I'm very tired" review.....
Normally I wouldn't mention the opening act, but Larry came out and played drums on "Only Happy When It Rains" for Garbage. Very cool...he mastered the song...I got a picture...but no promises as to if it actually came out....
OK...now to the men...
The highlights were, for me, Mysterious Ways, which returned tonight. Amazing guitar solo.
Beautiful Day seemed to have an extended ending, as Bono sang something towards the end(couldn't tell what, though).
Sunday Blooday Sunday Bono stopped the song(before the very last part where Larry starts back in) and told the crowd how much he loves our country, etc.
Stuck In a MomentBono pulled a male fan on stage who was covered with U2 tattoos and hugged him for a good while.
In God's Country amazing acoustic version, full of energy, and yes, Bono remembered the words. Surprised at how many in the crowd didn'yt know this one. Bono played harmonica in the middle of the song, very well, at that.
Knockin' On Heaven's DoorPulled up a a fan with an INXS shirt on, and he knew what he was doing on the guitar. This is the first time I've seen a "spontaneous" performance like this at a show...and then the band joined in!
Kite This had to be the most emotional moment in the show, maybe more so than "One". Bono didn't hold back on this one.
BadAmazing. This one doesn't get old. Bono pulled a girl from the heart to dance. The whole crowd was into it.
Of course, Out Of Control was played, and I had wanted to hear it(along with "Stay", but that has yet to happen). I knew all the words, and guess what, most of the crowd didn't...Very energetic performance. "One" seems to have taken on a new meaning since Sept. 11. The names of the passengers on the screens makes this quite emotional. Thanks for reading.Good night.
