Anyone know what exactly it is that B Man is mumbling at the very beginning?

Well, I'm not so sure about this but atu2.com reckons that he sings...

This is just one interpretation and people may disagree but i hope that that's helped in some way

Yup, and John Siracusa, who runs the U2 Lyrics Archive (click on "Lyrics" to the left), thinks it's the following:

As the fuel goes down
Stops the car
Puts her feet outside in the rain
She's back on the machine
But it's sweet so far away

Listening to LNOE and considering both possibilities, I'm more inclined to think John's closer to the truth on this one.
