Where is the line at officially?

There is this statue that is wearing a red knit shawl near Gate A. The statue looks over the water. Walk down to the left of the statue to get to the pavement that is under the bridge. Walk under the bridge and look to your left.

That's a statue of Fred Rogers. He is from Pittsburgh and had a show on public television for children for many years when I was a kid a long, long time ago...lol He always wore a knit sweater on the show so someone must've made one for the statue!

He used to always change from his street jacket and shoes into his house sweater and shoes. I actually had to look twice at it but realized it was him from the position of the statue.

Doing GA tomorrow night, driving in 4 hours from Ohio. Planned on spending the night and taking Wednesday off as well, but now I can't. Something has come up at work and it's absolutely imparitive that I am at back in Urbana OH, at work and ready to go at 7 am. This really sucks! I strongly considered not going, but the 3 friends I'm going with said that they'll drive home so that maybe I can catch a little rest in the car. Hopefully this doesn't put too much of a damper on my experience. Who knows when the next time I'll see U2 will be?

I totally Agree.

Just browsing the web for some pics and U2 info and ran across this and was interested enough to talk to a friend of mine who is head of Steelers security since I usually grab seats for shows. His team is getting a ton of questions on this and said the bottom line is, wherever you are in front of the gate at said time is YOUR PLACE. He said that was U2 policy as well. (they certainly plead the 5th when asked)... Haha

When I asked about secret clubs meeting at Mr. Rogers, he said anyone who let's people in front of them at the gate (YOUR true spot in line) does so at their own peril.

I'm glad you guys are independently wealthy and able to line up days in advance, but nobody from Pittsburgh will put up with your sh$t if you start jumping them.

My advice is show at said time and be respectful. If this forum is any indication, you guys will all be there ahead of me anyway. I just don't expect 1 person to hold the spot for 500 of you. Neither will the rest of Pittsburgh.

Yeah Spartan Stadium was smaller...and at least the security team at Heinz Field is USED to dealing with massive crowds unlike the MSU people. I can take my purse inside at Heinz Field!
