My mother is in a bit of a fix. Because of her stroke last month, the doctors had to postpone her hip replacement surgery. This is really bad because the bad hip is incredibly painful. She had this hip replaced in 1984 and the replacement has a "life-span", so to speak, of ten years. So now she's in the most horrible pain, waiting for her freakin' operation! Unfortunately, she's in sort of a cranky mood. She just got really mad with me over a trivial disagreement. Could you either pray or send me good vibes, depending on where you are spiritually? Thanks!

Verte, I TOTALLY feel your pain, as well as your mom's. When my mom fell and broke her leg and cracked her hip last fall, she became unbearable. She was cranky, rude, hurtful, and very unfair. Sigh. Sorry. I hope you aren't going through anything as bad as I did, and I hope she will feel better and her mood will improve. No matter what's happening, hang in there, I'll be thinking of you

Good luck, verte! My dear granny's had multiple hip replacements as well as knees, wrist, and three full-hand finger joint replacements The arthritis is now deteriorating her spine so she's in terrible pain but doesn't show it one bit.
