I just heard a U2 cover on the radio...

All i want is you - it's some girl band singing. The arrangement is softer, more synthesizers, no riff and shorter/milder solo. (sort of like Streets remade by Pet shop boys, only more pop directed)
I thought their voices were nice though.

Bellefire -- they are an Irish girl group, if I remember correctly. The girls gushed back when they were making plans for the song that they got supermarket directions from Edge. lol.

And they supposedly made a video that looks a lot like the original AIWY video.

Interesting-different...i don't think i would know it's U2 just by the melody.

It was nice, i prefer the original, but this is ok with me too.

I believe the Original is and always will be unbeatable. One of my real faves

I hate that version. They massacre a masterpiece. It first came out around august last year and after numerous attempts finally they are releasing it now that U2 are laying low. Its outrageous and shouldn't be allowed.

Although bellefire are very cute

I was curious about what the remake sounded like so I downloaded it, and I have to say that it sounds empty and one dimensional without Edge's guitar in there! That guitar riff adds sooooooooo much to the piece.

I never realized it until it wasn't there!

It also sounds a little Wilson Philipsy...no wait...A LOT Wilson Philipsy.

The only thing that they did that resembles the U2 video is that they shot it in black and white and they are walking along the beach. I also think they butchered the song.
