This makes me think it could be a soldier, the whole "picture of you" seems to point in that direction.

This, on the other hand:
You should worry about the day
That the pain it goes away
You know I miss mine sometimes
makes me think of a dead person (whom, therefore, feels no pain?). Maybe the person died in a car crash and that's why "the fast cars will do me no good"? If not, what do the "fast cars" refer to?

Maybe I'm way off...

Okay, that's strange - I did not get Fast Cars on my edition of HTDAAB owing to my whereabouts, so of course I downloaded it. However, all I get is the my cell is ringing... line, repeated to a fade. Maybe three or four times. Have I downloaded some random bogus version, or does anyone know if there are different editions of this song out?

A loop was leaked out before we got the real deal. You must have gotten the loop.

The only copies that have Fast Cars are the ones in the collector's edition or in an import...Japanese, I think.
