Re Bono Steals Spotlight At Forum (Feb.4th):
I enjoyed Miro Cernetig's overview of Bono's recent political activities, but I am amazed that "normal people" such as Angela Christie are so shortsighted about how Bono established his polictical clout and why his influence on world leaders is so valuable.
Bono has always understood that commercial success and popularity give celebrities significant influence, and he has used that influence to establish and maintain his credibility as a social activist.
It is quite possible that Bono will make more progress with his approach to social issues than most other forms of activism combined.
