yeah, as if lusting after U2 isn't taking up all my time already (I blame it all on Pleba, natch), now I have to make time for Gavin as well. Love the Gavin website...Caroline does such an amazing job and has some AWESOME pics of the Gavmeister on there, OMG.
*faint* Soooo many pics...so little time!
Hippy, the reason you think Boner and Gav are so similar is because they ARE...(you may already know) not only are they best friends (and have been since they were wee lads), but Bono stole most of his MacPhisto schtick from Gavin...Gavin has been doing the crooner/cabaret type of thing now for many years....he's so "out there" on the music scene, that he's hard to categorize, and even if you could categorize him, he would be in a category all his own. He's extremely unsual in that regard. He's got a small but *very* rabid following, and even though he's not nearly as well known as his best bud Bono, I don't think he'd want that anyway...I think he likes being in the shadows a bit more.
He has a fourth album coming out..."soon" they say, so I can only hope and pray that he tours...but I have a feeling it will not be here in the U.S. because it won't be cost effective (sure, if you're making gazillions of dollars like U2 that's not an issue).
More and more I'm thinking of getting over to Europe...to see U2, to see Gavin...and to see Ireland/Dublin in general. Anyone up for it?
