Edges Rig

Anyone like to hazard a guess on how much it would cost to get the same setup (not including guitars) as edge has? There seems to be a few ppl on here who appear to know lots of the equipment etc and wondered if maybe they knoew. Just an approximate estimate would be cool.

Im guessing minimum, $30K USD, and that's just getting by assuming you get the best deals on the units he has that are discontinued and no longer available used, and have since been inflated in price due to people wanting edges sound. Try to find a TC 2290 or KORG SDD 3000, or the A3, they're selling for more than they were new.

I've read that fellow forum member Eventide spent up to 30K pounds on his copy of Edge's rig. Which is probably more then 45K US$. And even he can't get anything. Like the Line6 DM4 in 19" rack format, custom made only for Edge.

But even if by some miracle you get 95% of what Edge has, chances are it will be incomplete again come the next album. It's not a finished piece of equipment. Stuff goes in and out all the time, even on tour.

All in all I find a waste of money to tailor your rig to that of another guitarist. One should strive to create your own sounds. Although if by pure chance and perseverance you do manage to get an almost identical clone of Edge's rig, that becomes pretty hardcore as well.
