Welcome to the seventh heat of the Interference Desert Island Game II! The premise of this game is that all of the Interferencers have been stranded on a desert island and we can only take up to 160 minutes of music with us (either as a continuous iPod playlist or two 80 minute CDs or any other format of our choosing). The object is to see which forum member can fit the most musical goodness into these 160 minutes.

Despite a one-sided start, the last heat became another one of the closest rounds of the tournament. U2VertigoFly managed to hold onto the remnants of a strong early lead to win 15-14 over FitzChivalry. U2VT will now meet Screwtape2 in the third quarter final.

This heat will determine who will take the fourth and final quarter final's first position. It features tracklists by Lara Mullen and XHendrix24. Below, you will find their tracklistings. If you are unfamiliar with the songs included, we can help you hear them! Just leave your e-mail address. :)

OH IT'S ONNNN NOW.

Really though, this should hopefully be a good round. I love so many of the songs on Lara's tracklist. Extra cheers for the Blur, New Order, Outkast (which I was extremely close to putting on my list), Arcade Fire, U2 (easily one of their best 90's songs), and Lindsey Buckingham (if I remade my list today, that song or another one from the same CD would in all honestly probably make the cut).

Good music

Lara for New Order and LCD...I want to be able to dance on this Island:wink:

Well, this seems to be following a pattern set in the last two rounds of one contestant getting off to a scorching lead only to have it reeled in as the round progresses. I'm glad we've had some close fights lately.

:hmm: That could make this next round very interesting.

While close rounds are normally good, the next one should be a runaway victory for the guy whose screen name begins with A.

For all of those who think that making these lists is easy, think again. I'm surprised I haven't lost any sleep (and I probably have, actually) perfecting my own list for the next Desert Island Game. :crack: I'm also not done yet, and I started in February.

Lara

It was really, really close, and in fact XHendrix had more songs that I REALLY love, but I really liked the flow of Lara's list. It just seemed to naturally weave in and out of genres and styles.

And, plus, you can't go wrong with ending with "Born Slippy"
