Computer Disc Drive Won't Play Certain CD's

Boy, for the most part. I tried cleaning it and the drive still won't play it. Any suggestions?

Oh and it will play other cd's fine.

I would make sure the latest compatible driver is installed, check for firmware (I've had that be the culprit several times), if still no luck I've also resolved an issue by making changes in the registry...

Strangely, my hifi wont play cds I have burrned on my laptop DVD drive.
