I'll be up with the sun, I'm not coming down...
I can only take a few, as I feel the rest are sappy pieces of bull.

I love National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, A Christmas Story, The Grinch (only the cartoon, I hate the commercialized version starring Jim Carrey), and in really sick and twisted ways Edward Scissorhands and Batman Returns-just for their Christmas themes. (Notice Tim Burton weaves Christmas into a lot of his films?)

I forgot the most important!! The Nightmare Before Christmas.

I know this is the sappiest Christmas movie to end all sappy Christmas movies...but I love "It's a Wonderful Life". Something about those old black and white films...not to mention Jimmy Stewart.

National Lampoons Christmas and A Christmas Story are great movies. If I'd have to choose, though, I'd go with A Christmas Story.

I generaly don't like christmas movies, except for few exceptions - it's a wonderfull life, Christmas story (or something like that...)

BUT this christmas comes not a christams movie but a LORD OF THE RINGS: Fellowship of the ring, and I can't wait to see it...

Scrooged with Bill Murray always makes me laugh.

The Christmas nightmare one whose name escapes me by Tim Burton is good too.

Scrooge itself.

Oh, and the cartoon ones (Disney ones and all that) all have a timeless quality.

I have to jump on the Christmas Story bandwagon. This is the one Christmas movie that I never get tired of watching. I already saw it again this year while I was decorating my tree.

My favorite scene is the one where he goes with his brother to visit Santa Claus but Santa and the elves are evil. The way that scene is shot with Santa's mean, sneering face and red nose shouting, "HO HO HO!! What do you want for Christmas, little boy?"

I'll never get tired of watching that one. All the poor kid wanted was a Red Rider Beebee Gun. Is that so wrong??? But instead he is told by everyone, even his schoolteacher, "You'll shoot your eye out!"

Glad to see someone else who likes that movie. It's great. What about that scene when he accidently says f**k durin lunch and everything freezes, adn than he has to wash his tongue with soap. Or when they dress his brother so warm that he can't put his hands down - masterpice I say...

I've never been into Cmas movies or music , either.

A Christmas Story was always a childhood fave due to it's focus on
their family dynamic and elementary school.
But as for that and Scrooged, I am fairly
"bah humbug" about holiday-themed movies and music.

I do however, love Christmas - but mostly the gift-giving part. I love
to buy things for my loved ones.

No alarms and no surprises, please.

I watch A Christmas Story throughout the year, and usually about 10 more times during the Christmas season. It's great--and yes, I'm ****ing crazy.

Abso-postive-ly-outely. So funny, epecially when we get to see Miss Piggy as Kermit's wife, but she can't remember her own kids names...
Kid 1 --"Mother! Mother! I thought you said we couldn't eat the chestnuts until father came home!"
Miss P-- "I wasn't eating them, I was merely checking them. It's a chef's thing dear. And do not shout Bettina."
Kid 1 --"Ah! I'd Belinda! She's Bettina!"
Miss P-- "Whatever you say, Bettina"
Kid 1-- "Uh! BELINDA!"
Miss P--"Whatever..."

or anuything to do with Rizzo and Gonzo..."You mean you could fit through the gate all that time? You are such an idiot"

I love Scrooged. And It's A Wonderful Life. And I'm quite partial to the Christmas episode of She-Ra and He-Man where they meet each other for the first time..

Christmas Vacation

Clark:"'tis the saeson to be merry!"

female salsesperson:"well..that's my name.."

1. Christmas Vacation
2. A Christmas Story
3. It's A Wonderful Life (NOT "colorized")
4. How the Grinch Stole Christmas (original)
5. Any 1970s clay-mation production such as Rudolph (with Burl Ives songs) and I think Frosty the Snowman.
6. A Charlie Brown Christmas
7. Jon Lovitz' "Hannukah Harry" skit on Saturday Night Live, c. 1980s.

I love Hannukah (sp?) Harry-Jon Lovitz is hilarious. lmao

Christmas is also not complete without the Garfield Christmas Special and more recently the Olive the Other Reindeer show (it's really cute, trust me. I am such a girl, lol)
