Are any PLEBA girls going to try to get tickets for St. Louis??

The friendliest place on the web for anyone that follows U2.
If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
In Denver, you could still get a decent spot on the floor by 10:00 I think, and in Chicago, 10:00 was about the cutoff for good spots at all. Chicago was LONG, and Denver was medium, line wise. So, if you are planning to get there at 11:00, I would say you wouldn't get in the heart at all but you WOULD get an OK spot on the floor.

I don't think the line in St. Louis will be nearly as bad as the one in Chicago. I mean, St. Louis hasn't yet experienced the joy that is GA, which means that a lot of people will not know how the whole thing works. So I don't think people will be in quite as much of a frenzy to get there early. But, of course, I could be completely wrong.

I thought I'd resurrect this thread to ask something: for all those who are going, how are you planning on getting to St. Louis? I'm thinking bus, since it seems like the cheapest, but I was curious what you gals were planning on doing.

I'm risking death and flying.

It was only $120 from Detroit & that seemed reasonable to me!

I'm so fortunate that I have Wednesdays off from class & teaching. This worked out perfectly! I'm going to get back on Thursday morning and head straight to the class I teach. "Guess where I was, kids..." Well, they're 18, they're not really kids. But I haven't told them about my U2 fanaticism. They already think I'm crazy.

Yay for more ELEVATION!!!

I live close enough to drive...It's about 3 hours from where I am.

Also, on another note...What should I bring to wait in the GA line? Will they let me go back to my car if I bring a chair and a blanket?

Dude! That was totally me!!! Where were you in line? What do you look like? How did you know it was me??? As for the record, I tried to get it signed but they didn't come out and sign anything. Perhaps I'll have better luck in St. Louis. Can't wait to see you there!!

I didn't know it was you at the time, but I remembered you when I got back and started reading posts on PLEBA, and saw you say something about that you were in Chicago and had your Joshua Tree record.

Anyway, I was that weird ugly little kid (I'm short, and I looked really weird most of the time, because I had a blanket over me and I had a really heavy jacket, and I was sitting there trying to not let my legs fall asleep

) with the big red jacket on and bright red hair. ^^; I was number #230 in the morning, then bumped up to #210. I was right at the corner, if you know which one I'm talking about.

Forgot to say to WildHoneyAlways:
I was in GA twice, and both time they said in the afternoon (Chicago 16th was at 3:00 and Denver was 1:30) to take your stuff back. It's really basically just like hanging out ALL day on some grass/pavement.

You're free to move around and go places, but you have to be there the majority of the day -- and you shouldn't probably leave at all if there isn't someone saving your place in line.

Bring plenty of sustenance (food, drink, etc) and things with which to amuse yourself for the day in line. The wait can become rather tedious if you have nothing to do, but you could always talk to your fellow GA-ers; they're usually a pretty fun and interesting crowd.

Going back to your car shouldn't be a problem. Usually the people regulating the line will hand out numbers that indicate where you are in line, so everyone's pretty cool about people getting in and out of line, as long as you don't leave the venue.

Hope to see you there!
