There's a programme on MTV Europe called Top 10 at 10. Basically they play top 10 videos of a band/artists.
A few weeks ago, i accidentally tuned in MTV at 10 and i see WOWY video. Yay!
It was then followed by
MW (taped this one)
EBTTRT
SATS
Discotheque
BD
Stuck (taped)
Elevation
Walk on
The sweetest thing
which was all nice, but i thought: where's videos for One or The fly? It's been ages since i saw those, not to mention Stay.
And i don't think they even have Who's gonna ride your wild horses - i certainly haven't seen that one.
Today, again, i stumble upon WOWY. This time, it's followed by
Stuck
SATS (taped)
Discotheque (i thought to myself, the order's different than the last time, maybe i'll see some different videos than last time)
sure enough...next video was
One - the version where they dress up as women WOO HOO! Premiere for me (i saw the "bar" version lots of times, and i saw the "buffalo" version once years ago). Who's that old man in the video?
I think this video supports the AIDS/separation between Germans interpretation of the song. Loved the brown colors in the video. (taped)
EBBTTRT
BD
The fly YES!!! I forgot how great that video is - isn't that little intro amazing? Or Edge's intense stare at the camera right before the final "it's no secret that the stars are falling from the sky" verse. (come to think of it, it was surprising to see this much of Edge in the video. Not that i mind)
(taped)

It's definitely worth looking out for this programme. If it was U2 twice already (that i know of, anyway), there will surely be more of them. Either that or wait for the next U2 weekend.
Hopefully they'll play the other versions of One and Stay.

"We feel like this is unfinished business - there's things for us left to do and that's why we still do it." - Larry
"For us, each night on stage has to be like the last night on earth. That's the way our band operates-we can't play the songs unless we're fully into them." - Bono
"The music itself will tell you where to go." - Edge (about recording)
"It's an elevation thing." - Adam (when asked why there's pictures from airport on ATYCLB cover)
