Sicy..check your journal :sexywink:
I *knew* there would still be infection. I just knew it. :yell:
But better he get that taken care of now...and look at it this way...the steel is out and won't be causing any problems anymore.
You know...part of the blame should go to goddamn Medical. They put this surgery off and god knows how many other procedures off. All that time lagging sure as hell won't do any good. :yell:

Don't give up girl...he's alive and he's made it through hell and back. Now that the metal is out of his arm, the infection will clear up and by this time next year, this will all be a horrible memory. I know that's hard to believe right now but it will get better.

omg Sicy...I saw your entry about John hitting on nurses at Stanford. :lmao: :lmao: Doesn't take him long, huh?
I'm glad he's in good spirits. :cute:
How's he doing now?

John was released from the hospital today. I dont know all the details because its nearly impossible to get them from anyone in my family.. ANYWAY. At least John can stay home. He has to be on the antibiotic IV drip again twice (or three times not sure) a day. A nurse will come to the house to administer it. He also has to give himself a shot I think once a day for blood clotting.

This infection BETTER go away this time. :yell:

My sister had an accident. She was on the bike and a fucking car crashed into her. When I heard of that yesterday. I felt shocked. Well. I was glad to hear she is relatively ok. She was at hospital. They checked her. Her nose is broken. The rest seems to be alright. She was pretty cool on the phone and everything, said it didn?t hurt. Now she?s back at home with her friends. I will visit her. My dear dear sister. I love her.

Oh man.. sorry hiphop. Sending her best wishes for a fast recovery

Sicy, I am so sorry for what you and your family are going through right now. I hope that you all have strength and that your brother will be feeling a whole lot better real soon! He is lucky to have you and your family around when he needs it most

Edited to say: I think I missed a couple of pages, I don't know why! Anyway I'm glad to hear that your brother is home, good luck for his recovery!

Thank you  .. there are a lot of pages of his story so easy to miss some .. lol.

hiphop, I'm glad your sister wasn't seriously hurt and is ok

sicy, I'm glad your brother is home now too

Wow.... what a procedure. :der: I just came to help my brother with his IV treatment because my mom is out. He has a little machine that he wears around his waist and every 8 hours it automatically administers the Iv antibiotics which is attached to his arm. You have to do all these steps like clean the tubes, attach a new medicine bag to the machine and steralize all the lines and attachments. If he had the use of his left arm he could probly do the whole thing himself. So he does this once a day and then the machine automatically administers the drugs every eight hours.

Modern technology is amazing.

hey sicy
that was hilarious...."not good drugs"
Although they have the same kind of IV set up for morphine :lmao:
Now I dunno if you consider that a good drug or not :der:
That's really sweet of you for helping out your brother.

update

More of an update for myself but.. a lot has happened lately. My brother broke his arm :| The bad arm, AND .. a bone that wasnt previously broken, if you can believe that. All those bones he broke in that arm and he broke a new one :crack: So he's wearing a big brace cast type thing on his arm.

He had an appointment today to check his blood, and to see if the infection is going away since he's been at home and using the IV system at home. Good news, they took him off the IV thing and removed the pic line and put him on oral antibiotics for 6 weeks. I guess the infection is finally going away. So I'm sure he's happy about that. I hope that arm heals because he has already had so many surgeries on that arm I dont want him to have to have more, or for them to decide they need to put the metal back in his arm  I think he tries to use that arm too much and he really cant :slant: But, he's a stubborn Sicilian and he's my brother.

Wow...you'd think with all that has happened he'd have some accident-peace time. He broke his arm now?

:scream:

Good that the infection is off though.
