U2 Nominated for People's Choice Award

There appears to be more going on in the U2 universe than just the unveiling of the new U2 iPod. Today, the band was announced as a nominee in the Favorite Group category. U2 is up against former tour mates No Doubt, as well as OutKast, Evanescence and Maroon 5.

U2 won't win. It'll either be Evanescence or Maroon 5. BUT, U2 may use this as an excuse to perform, thus offering more publicity for their album and tour.
