Vulture: All 234 U2 Songs, Ranked From Worst to Best

Sure there’s much to interpret re: the rankings, but I was surprised how warm the vast majority of the write-ups are about each song, even if it’s ranked low. These lists are much more fun when written by someone who likes the band and this writer clearly likes U2.

The Joshua Tree Tour 2019 - Show & Setlist Discussion

For spectators, that was a fun little 15-show jaunt. For those who live in that neck of the woods, glad you got a good show! Certainly seemed better than the 2017 shows on setlist alone.

New song at last show of the tour? Definitely not in character, so I'm skeptical, but we shall see.

Followed by Bad, but it's an instrumental only version without any crescendos while Bono gives a 10 minute speech

The Joshua Tree Tour 2019 - Show & Setlist Discussion

Setlist have certainly been a step up from the 2017 ones. Makes those look small by comparison. I guess it's to compensate for this part of the world missing I+E and E+I

The Joshua Tree Tour 2019 - Show & Setlist Discussion

Maybe they’ll sub that in for Angel of Harlem at some point. Hope they do because the song is amazing, I was also at the three R&H song LA I+e show, and it was a highlight. I wonder if the EBW/Best Thing slot is where we’ll eventually see

Hell yeah. Play it every night you cowards.

Next Album Rumours Thread II - Songs of Ass Scent

There should be songs from at least the Rick Rubin and RedOne albums along with the still unreleased 360 songs. I'd be down to hear those, along with some of the weirder Danger Mouse SOI songs that never saw the light of day

General discussion for an actual late 2019 tour of Australia, NZ, Asia

As much as I'd love a Lovetown 30, considering the tour is billed as Joshua Tree 2019 my expectations are very low. I'll take any deviation from the 2017 show. Not that the 2017 show is bad, but it would just be boring from my viewing perch thousands of miles away.

General discussion for an actual late 2019 tour of Australia, NZ, Asia

Looking like it isn't the same as the 2017 show (even if the not-new stuff is recycled from I+e/e+i), which is nice.

    Coldplay - Everyday Life

I like the production here a whole lot more than what they've been doing for the last few albums. The acoustic elements sound more clear, and the prominent bass lines are great. I wasn't a big fan of A Head Full of Dreams (thought it was a Mylo Xyloto retread with inferior songs) so this...

Songs of Experience - 1 Year Later

Can't do it by themselves. They would need to be featured on some other artists' big single and I can't see them doing it for a single. XXX. probably the most they would do. Heck, they could be the ones who write the song but they'd still need the big artist to be the main credited artist for...

Seeing them go from JT 2017 to playing 7-9 SOE songs a night was a sort of restoration of faith that they weren't going full nostalgia act. I even got worried after 360, but they've given a lot of love to the new material on I+e and e+I, which is great.

I hope for no fades too. Because we have to re-download the whole set every time there's a new song drop, I suspect they may ultimately be mixed so that each disc sounds like a smooth show.
