    Will Larry Return to U2?

Yeah I thought he sounded incredible at the Beacon, I would say better than on E&I.

    Will Larry Return to U2?

I don't think Bono is above technical trickery to get his voice back. I think I'm in the minority here, but I thought he sounded pretty awful at the Sphere shows.

    Will Larry Return to U2?

Based on nothing but gut feelings, I think Larry is ready to move on from the U2 phase of his life. I believe that Larry has recorded with the band. I even could see him going on tour for one final hurrah (health willing), but I don't expect more than that. I would say that would also be the...

3 Irishmen and a Dutchman Walk Into A Sphere - General Discussion Thread Part III

Call me biased, but I just really can't think of any other artists that could utilize the Sphere quite as well as U2 did. I just don't think there's a whole lot of groups with iconic imagery (Zoo Station TVs, The Fly words, etc.) that make it fun. I feel like you would need to create new...

Yeah. I appreciate the musical prowess, and the commitment to giving fans varied setlists, but uh, yeah I can only take so much noodling.

3 Irishmen and a Dutchman Walk Into A Sphere - General Discussion Thread Part III

My buddies and I saw Trey Anastasio last year at a festival. Our joke was that despite all of us pretending to hate Phish, we were going to fall in love with Phish. The first song we looked each other in the eyes and were like "wait is this good?" about 30 minutes in (and substances having been...

I listened to No Line on the Horizon right through tonight for the first time in about 10 years…

I ain't taking Mercy slander. Look deep within you: you know in your soul that it's one of their best songs post-00s but you just want to be contrarian.

I think TLTTGYA is the closest Bono is going to get to being "dark". Like jesus: "Sometimes, sometimes, sometimes Sometimes I'm full of anger and grieving So far away from believing That any sun will reappear" (I don't believe the official lyrics, he says sun, fight me)

Playboy Mansion is gud, and I'm not taking any other feedback at this time. Michael Jackson and OJ are the only things that date it, and IMO, it's fine to be a little time capsule of that time period (when the Playboy Mansion itself was still relevant). Everything is fine to good, and the melody...

New Album Discussion 1 - Songs of..... - Unreasonable guitar album

I am not trying to be contrarian, but I prefer both Zooropa and Pop to AB. I dont know, AB has never gripped me the same way that it has others. The highs of Zooropa and Pop are so interesting and so devastating, that they nearly override all the lows. Putting the Wanderer as the last song on...

there's also no middle 3 on NLOTH because Boots is a banger and all y'all are sexually repressed grandpas who don't like Bono saying "sexy"

WOW! U2 wants to wait until after the election to finish their album. When will the AMERICAN PEOPLE wake up and realize that U2 was NEVER GOOD. Where the Streets Have No Name is OVERRATED woke propaganda! The American People deserve BETTER.

I listened to No Line on the Horizon right through tonight for the first time in about 10 years…

I like No Line in general, although probably my least listened to U2 album. I think SUC is the only real clunker on the album. I like Boots and Crazy Tonight as songs, I just wish they were sequenced differently on the album, and maybe Crazy Tonight not on it at all. I think Moment of Surrender...
