Have the feeling 360 is the last tour - anyone else?

Reading through all the posts, I would now personally prefer that U2 announced their retirement from touring after finishing some kind of touir. Announcing a "Farewell Tour" would just be asking for trouble. Everyone would want at least two nights and maybe even three, No-one would be able to...

    Yay! Bono actually declined something!

Well, if Bono ever did get his own talk show... Him doing a riff on Jerry Springer would be interesting. Or Ricki Lake. Some of the idiots they had spouting their opinions just screamed "Somebody hit me!". I'd sign Bono to do his own talk show and add a clause to the contract that he had to...

    Breathe is a better opener

BVS. Well, COBL first: The descending piano line.. "I miss you when you're not around" "Blessings not just for the ones who kneel....luckily" And of course, the way Bono songs the line "Oh you look so beautiful tonight". There's something rather longing, pleading about it that those words on...

    Breathe is a better opener

I read in "U2 At The End Of The World" that they played the set backwards once or twice during the Lovetown tour... Looking at setlists.fm, I don't see anything that quite fits that description to a T, but there's a couple in there that come close... Now, that would have been interesting!

    Breathe is a better opener

My complaint with Streets is that I don't think it's a strong enough song to carry any more than the live "rush" thing. You're right, live it's very special. However, if you go home after the show and listen to the song on JT(forget how it makes you feel live for a mo), it ain't much of a song...

    Breathe is a better opener

As an concert opener, you can argue City's a bit downbeat lyrically and musically. Streets isn't a bundle of laughs, either, lyrically (and, happy or sad quotient aside not as good lyrically) It is a faster tempo song, though, so maybe a better opening. But as a song pure and simple? Yes, City...

    Breathe is a better opener

Of the openers I've seen them play: Bullet, Streets, Zoo, City and Beautiful - okay officially it's Stingray but that lasted what? 45 seconds so doesn't count for me. Somewhat a WTF intro. I rank them as openers: City Zoo Streets Bullet Beautiful/Stingray Stingray/Beautiful Okay, I cheated...

    If You HAD to Choose

A break from new music may make them take a look at doing if not an "album" show - ie JT in it's entirety - a short tour dominated by songs they don't play live so much. Okay, songs that they don't play live so much because A: The band just don't like and/or B: just suck live probably still...

    Worst Song U2 has written?

People on here not liking "The Wanderer"! That and "Stay" are the best songs on the album. Thinking 'bout it: "Red Light" - yes it's the worst song on "War", don't know if worst ever. "Jersulem" - going nowhere slowly and probably my least favourite. "Pop" - This is a topic for another...

Have the feeling 360 is the last tour - anyone else?

He said it at the end of the 2nd. I was at that one. He didn't say anything - that I can recall - after either of the 2 Auckland Vertigo concerts pertaining to returning - which they obviously did - or not in future. Is he saying that a lot this tour? I'd take anything Bono says at the end...

u2 at the end of the world

I bought the Bantam edition of this - I live in New Zealand. Does anyone know how/why the editions are different? I mean, I don't want to get a new edition that just goes into more detail than the Bantam version (ie the editing is for space purposes only and the Bantam edition still keeps and...
