id doubt U2 would aquire Arcade Fire to open for them... cause the Arcade would murder U2 on their own stage.. even before they hit the stage... they are THAT good!

Arcade Fire is the best live act right now. Sure U2 is great and all.... but i saw Arcade Fire back in January and their show has overshadowed any show ive seen this year so far.

there is a reason you only pay $50 a ticket for those GAs... cause they suck ass.

totally agree... everyone i know has told me how pathetic U2 fans seemed after the first pre-sale horrors. They practicaly had poor Larry appologize up on stage at the Grammys. When Madonna had her fanclub presale, everyone got shitty tickets. And sure they bitched about it, but the only thing...

Elevation seemed to have more heart (and no.. im not talking about the heart shaped catwalk) Its pretty obvious that even the band is not content with the setlist they are using for this Vertigo tour. The setlist seems awkward, where as the Elevation setlist fit like a glove.

Im mostly happy to see there possibly wont be a pre-sale for this date..... which means FINALLY we all have a shot at those GA's. but unfortunatly.. its Vegas.. and most likely 60% of the seats are spoken for already :sad: i guess its not meant for me to experience this tour from the GA...

Madonna yelled at the Vegas crowd "YOURE F*CKEN PATHETIC!!" cause it was mostly made up of hotel comps & such. she told the row in the front to stand up.. if not to move to the side and let the fans come up front.

i asked for GA's... and Loge tickets poped up :(

I know that alot of tours that stop in Vegas (especially MGM Arena) usually see a hike in ticket prices. I guess cause of all the gambling and stuff. :madspit: what do you think? will the $50 tickets go up to $70 or $80????

well unfortunatly, all the other 14,000 fans in the arena are happy this was their setlist. As sad as it it, during opening night the "Boy" songs brought the crowd to a halt. I had predicted those songs wouldnt hang around much longer, as i was there and noticed most folks reaction during that...

yes.. Arcade Fire Interpol Doves Bloc Party either one of those would be a great choice.

from my POV.. i must say "Running to Stand Still" was the highlight. Everyone really embraced it.

sure it sounded great.. but it has nothing against the Fly from Elevation, where Bono actually would interact with the crowd and run around. This time he just performed it in front of that light curtain. :madspit:

they must suck cause you have those damn light curtains coming down and blocking the view since they are all bright. Bono also didnt interact as much with them either. LIke ive stated in other posts, maybe it was cause the show is still fresh, but i hope he uses the catwalk more.. and he doesnt...

all he sang was the words: "these are the hands that build america" over and over till the end of the song.
