U2 have said before they are a band that needs practice, none of them are great natural musicians, so they can't just take the chords and play it how some do.
But so what? that which is practised is still amazing isn't it?
Just a sneaking suspicion.
The opener (but played over the P.A.) will be the first half of Fez(being born) cue bono coming on shouting 'let me in the sound' and then kick into boots

U2 have spent more time in the studio than ever before on the last two albums.
Songs have 'traditionally' grown in the live arena, beyond what was imaginable in the studio. Maybe this process is now entirelly in the studio
U2 albums have become progressivly louder... its definetly not a good thing. At least they haven't hit Oasis levels yet... whats the story morning glory is the loudest mainstream album ever
Its zilch i'm afraid. in 1997, HD technology wasn't widespread by any means and definitly not used in gigs. I was under the impression that Robbie Williams live at leeds was the first gig in high definition
i wonder if U2 could turn into one of theseacts that has a never ending tour and just does parts of the world occasionally - being away for 3 months a year is much easier on family than one year every 4
