You would probably want to do something that more people know like "One" or even "Vertigo" That would catch peoples attention and have them stop and listen. After you play that tune, you can try one of your own or something else.

Well if the person doesnt have experience with electronics and soldering, then this isnt really a good idea.Circuit boards are delicate things, and the wrong hands could destoy a wonderful pedal. You also would have to buy the equipment to do the mod.

I would recomend the Maxon Tubescreamers or an Ibanez TS9. But if you want something even better, try the Fulltone OCD.Its like a Tubescreamer but more transparent and rich in harmonics. When I get some extra cash Im grabbing that for sure! Also, Edge currently uses a TS9 modded by Robert...

It has to be the treble pickup. Anything else lacks the bite that this tune requires.

Do you guys recomend putting any type of effects after the shimmer?) Reverb,chorus,etc?)

Right now im splitting the signal up with my sterep Boss CE-5 pedal. Boss pedals have buffers in them, so I figure this would be fine for the time being. Im still working on getting a blend that I like thou:( haha things will get better when my Nova delay arrives:)

Hmm any good ways to get volume pedal/ shimmer and delay all in the FX loop?

So far from what Ive heard and tried the best compressor out there is the Ross Compressor.Its no longer made but there are countless clones of it available. I ordered myself some parts and made my own clone. It sounds great!
