I hope 'Sometimes' isn't a single in the UK...I hardly listen to it anyway...it seems such a personal song from Bono, with so much meaning, I can't just put it on, sing along, and smile. And if they release it as a single, it'll be horribly overplayed.

It's a definite grower. I skipped it for a long while, I'm starting to like it now!

I think Bono's voice sounds absolutely phenomenal on this album, it literally has me amazed. I won't pick a fave song, just suffice to say every vocal on this album is just beautiful.

I think he's just showing the contrast of life in different parts of the world, and that people shouldnt be dying purely because theyre in a 'far away' place, or because the problems too big to solve. :-)

I'd take it as...feeling totally alone, you can be with hundreds of people, and still feel alone inside. So if he says 'you're gone and so is god', he feels so alone that he feels not even god is there to turn to...it's a state of mind. or something. lol

I think you're taking it a bit far, it's just a...I dunno, turn of phrase? Doesn't mean he wants to shag his sister or something.

Great to have a positive feedback! I've read SO many negative posts about AMAAW! I think it'd sound amazing live, maybe acoustic, like they played 'Desire'.

I didn't listen to the bootleg, thankfully! So I haven't overplayed it! Still love it.

It's so difficult for me to choose ONE favourite, I love so many of the songs. But I chose AMAAW, coz I adore it, and I've listened to it a lot lately. :drool:
