The Little Things That Give You Away - Appreciation Thread

This should've been released as a single. My favorite song by U2 in a long time. Probably my favorite song of theirs ever. I've found myself relating to the lyrics rather heavily. I like to sing as a fun hobby, nothing serious, and Little Things is one of the songs I keep wanting to play over...

Will U2 sell the remaining tickets to make this tour a complete sell out?

I saw the 360 Tour show here in Phoenix and there were sections tarped off then as well. They still considered it a sell out as they met the minimum quota required. I assume this will happen again.

First time GA (Phoenix). Please advise.

Phoenix, for some reason, sold the first few days of GA as paper tickets, but switched to CC entry for the rest. If you have a paper ticket there is no reason you should have to show a credit card.

    Ah, that would make sense.

Random Music Talk CXX - Cobbler Returns to Amoeba

I fucking love nu metal (though I hate that term and refuse to call it that). It's rap-rock and rap-metal, nothing else. Linkin Park and their rap-metal pals P.O.D. basically saved my life.

Random Music Talk CXX - Cobbler Returns to Amoeba

Never knew he was a Centennial student. All info about him mentions him starting out at Washington H.S. before having to transfer to Greenway.

Random Music Talk CXX - Cobbler Returns to Amoeba

Minutes to Midnight is one of my favorite albums ever. I found "What I've Done", "Leave Out All the Rest" and "Shadow of the Day" right at a horrible time in my own life and fell in love. I'd thought they were an ok band before that, but I fell in love when Minutes to Midnight came out. For...

I'll be at this show, doing GA. Can't wait.

Joshua Tree Tour 2017 - Rumors & General Discussion III

It does make little sense, and I wonder what compelled them to do it like this.

Joshua Tree Tour 2017 - Rumors & General Discussion III

The Glendale show still has GA tickets, but they are no longer hard tickets, the remainder are CC entry. Just a note.

Yep. Still there as of this post.

Joshua Tree Tour 2017 - Rumors & General Discussion III

Yeah, 3 days after this quoted post and they're still available even now. They're also the cheapest tickets still available. The $35 tickets appear to be all gone (apart from up-priced resales). Still plenty of $100+ tickets available though, and some VIP tix left as well. And yes, I can...

    WikiLeaks largest classified military leak

Amazon should be praised for pulling the hosting of that damn site. Assange is a criminal and should be treated as such.

    Red Light

"Red Light" is the worst song anyone has ever done. "The Refugee" is awesome.

Songs that are being played on the current tour that you're f**king sick of and WHY:

I found the IALW in Glendale last year to be awesome, if only because The Edge effed up the intro... twice

Songs that are being played on the current tour that you're f**king sick of and WHY:

"Scarlet" replaces "MLK" and it works very well. MLK was done as a bit of a prayer for Aung San Suu Kyi. Now that she's free, they don't have to do that anymore. Scarlet is more upbeat and is being done as a praise instead of a prayer. It's perfect.

Damn. I agree with Ax on something. Hell hath frozen over.

Proof Bono could still sing like he did in the 80s...

Edge went to play it, but it wasn't there.

    Daniel Lanois' Black Dub

There's a band promotion group that normally only advertises Christian rock and I was surprised to see this project promoted by them. It sounds real good. Can't wait for the album.

    Free Willy From The Bathtub

^ Well, one of the ones he killed before this trainer, was a drunken idiot who snuck into the pool after hours and paid the price. He died of hypothermia long before the orca saw him, though.

    Free Willy From The Bathtub

Sea World is a preservation society first, and a park second. SeaWorld will keep whale despite trainer's death - Yahoo! News Sea World is suspending all orca shows in the wake of this tragic accident. As for PETA, they can suck it as far as I'm concerned. They're so hypocritical and they...

    Glenn Beck Has A Dream

Glenn Beck, in my humble libertarian view (being a libertarian is vastly different from being a member of that political party!!) is an idiot.
