Global Pandemic Part V: Enjoy a Corona while flying Delta

I tested positive for covid back in July after going to some gigs..the sum total of my " illness" was a sore throat which cleared up with nurofen, and a teeny bit of asthma which cleared up after using an inhaler - none of which would have stopped me carrying on as normal in a pre covid world...

Global Pandemic Part IV: IV Experimental Cocktails

Its 6 cases out of 7 million...so not convinced the risk of delaying versus protection it can provide balances. As for the EU, they've spent months rubbishing AZ, of which they have 20 odd million doses that haven't been used in various storage locations.

Global Pandemic Part IV: IV Experimental Cocktails

At least here in the UK the likes of the BBC tag these as " another worrying variant" headlines, further down you get the facts, but the media over here constantly amps up the fear, abley supported by various people from SAGE who predict 4th, 5th wave and suggesting permanent lockdowns until...

Global Pandemic Part IV: IV Experimental Cocktails

Indeed yes...oddly this is the one (and only) thing that Bozo's government has done well in the last year...thanks to the NHS

Global Pandemic Part IV: IV Experimental Cocktails

I thought that various countries in Europe had now back tracked on those comments and were now using it??

Global Pandemic Part IV: IV Experimental Cocktails

Had mine 3 weeks ago here in the UK...some mild flu like side effects for about 24 hours then fine. Waiting for call back for the second one- which I think maybe later this month now with the vaccination capacity increasing over here

Global Pandemic Part IV: IV Experimental Cocktails

Here in the UK there have been multiple lockdowns across the various nations, the first sort of worked, but in all other tries has failed- some of that is of course a small number of people not following the rules. In the last one cases went up. Yet despite the repeated lockdowns failing to...

US Politics XXXI-Lame Duck Obese Turtle

Trump may not have finished causing trouble but at least you voted him out.. here in the UK we've got the Blonde Ape bumbling around like a f****** idiot, accompanied by the rest of the f***wits plunging this country into one crises after another- the latest being closed borders and a couple of...

Global Pandemic Part III: A typical Spring, Just Ask China

Oh yeah we are totally and utterly fucked in the UK- if Bozo listened to the SAGE people ( who are scared of their own shadows)- we would be locked away like prisoners for the next 5 years in case someone sneezes. They have destroyed the economy, used the media as terror propaganda and have no...

Global Pandemic Part III: A typical Spring, Just Ask China

In the meantime here in the UK one of our so called government has gone to press stating people should report rule breakers to the local Corona Gestapo ( who will shortly be jack booting around our towns to ensure compliance with whatever f****** nonsense they come up with) , where presumably...

Global Pandemic Part III: A typical Spring, Just Ask China

Yes...it was Jimmie Johnsons wife who tested positive not him initially and she was at home. The nascar folk get tested before they enter the track and basically sit in their own motorhomes when not in the car.

Global Pandemic Part III: A typical Spring, Just Ask China

I realised this a while ago, it's out there ( unless you lock people in their homes for a year which would cause social damage that would dwarf corona) All you can do is take sensible precautions in your daily life. As with most things you have to work out what the risk is- and then make a...

US Politics XI - more threads than fired Trump cabinet members

Indeed...and unlike the US where you can if you can vote in a new president if you wish, we will be stuck with this Brexit nightmare for ever

Songs of Experience - 1 Year Later

Haven't played it in months, I guess the last time would have been around the time of the shows I went to. I never connected with SOE, I thought SOI was better/ more interesting, but I did invest more time in that album For SOE, it's well made, well produced and Summer of Love is excellent...

Is this the end for a while?

I'd be surprised if they toured again anywhere next year, even towards the end of the year. They've shown no real intent to go to Australia since 2011 More likely they'll have a year off and then " get lost in the music" again some time in 2020

Should we sit down during the show?

Basically if you want to stand so you can enjoy the show, there's no reason why the sit down group should spoil it. I get if you can't stand for a couple of hours, I had knee injury when I saw Green Day a few years ago, so I had to sit through some of the show, but I didn't expect or ask anyone...
