    Ticket Scalping on eBay

While I know it's not always possible, you should try and go to a Ticketmaster outlet - more chance than the always clogged up internet. I had someone trying on the internet yesterday with no luck; I got in line at 5:30 (I was about 50th in line too) in the morning and was able to get a ticket...

    Ticket Scalping on eBay

I'm not sure - someone in front of me in line bought 6 tickets at $199 each ( ), and he definatly wasn't a scalper. Just a big fan - you could tell - who is friends with 5 other fans.

    Australia off for 2006/07/08.......

I'd just like to pipe in and say... U2 WILL come to Australia. Optus Oval IS an option - Big Day Out, kicked from the Melbourne showgrounds due to redevelopment, has been given the green light by the council and whatnot to be held at Optus. Waverley Part IS a shit hole, and it's in the middle...

I'm a bit late, but I went to the shop and looked at the COBL single... and couldn't tell what else was on it.... so I didn't buy it. What on earth were they thinking with the packaging?

Live 8 Vote Who was the best on the day? Vote now!

I'm still standing by my original belief that Dido/Youssou N'Dour was the best performance on the day... :| Pink Floyd were kind flat (didn't expect any more though), U2 were ok but nothing special, same with Coldplay... Richard Ashcroft was another highlight for me.

    Recommend an Album

Spiritualized - Ladies And Gentlemen We Are Floating In Space Will play with your emotions for sure, and may turn you into a wreck. It's all part of the fun. After listening to it for the first time, I got really, really sick - I even though I was going to die! Horay!

    canada's live 8

I don't normally like Dido  Also, I've changed my mind to Babyshambles at Glastonbury. Sure it wasn't even at Live8, but damn, it rocked (just downloaded the video). Best act of Live8!

So what do you do during a "U2 downtime"?

During U2 downtime I listen to the other hundred bands who are great, some better than U2... I also do not get people who listen to almost nothing but U2.

Biggest/Best Band in the World by year since 1980

1994/1995 - I can't pick between Oasis and Smashing Pumpkins. Its probably not possible to, as Oasis were definatly bigger in the UK, and the Pumpkins had it in the US.

The Official Lonley 2005 AFL Season Thread

Indeed. We lost finally. I even tipped against us though, knew it was coming. How many tips are you guys on (for those doing tipping of course)? I think I'm on 23. Which is not too bad this season. Going ok this round, tipped the Crows, Eagles and Lions.
