Berlin #2 "Make-Up Show" Setlist Thread

Missed opportunity to start the show off with Zoo Station, it'd be so fitting.

Hoping they pull out some rather obscure/rare songs tonight for one last hoorah.

Oy. Not a good thing to hear. Perhaps B man was given a certain amount of years left to live?

I+E vs JT vs E+I Which Tour is Best?

Never saw an i+E show, because they never came close to my city. Saw them on JT30 twice, Kansas City was by far one of the best shows they seemed a lot more relaxed. Could have saw an E+i show but had to work, friend of mine went and said it was good, but just lacks the pizzazz. I think...

    Dublin #3 Setlist Thread

I listened to the soundchecked version... basically Edge singing everything, that ruins it for me. If B can't sing it, then don't attempt it.

Is this the end for a while?

There's a good chance they'll put out some sort of promo song or promo single for a film or a charity as they've done so in the past. However, actual album may not happen until at least 2022. The last few tours should be an indicator of how they popular are... SOI was a dud, JT brought them...

    Lisbon #2 Setlist Thread

Not sure if I understand the logic of still playing NYD, Follow, Pride but completely abandoning the JT material... those songs are older than JT but also playing Elevation, One, Beautiful Day... the newerish stuff, how that still sticks around.

    Lisbon #2 Setlist Thread

Most likely they're just playing it safe in case Bono throws his voice out again, or the possibility they're actually tired from touring and are just going through the motions at this point.

    Reworking the SoE setlist...

While I initially have no complaints with the setlist itself, it seems rather odd to be playing a continuation of Innocence songs on the Experience tour even they go hand in hand. That being said, any kind of 'swap outs' or additional songs aren't too rare because they won't straight up play a...

    St. Louis Setlist Party

Kind of a rough show tonight, watched on Periscope and seeing people leave during 13 was rough.

Suppose they would have waiting another 5-6 months before touring again, does that mean they would have sold these dates out?

    ***SPOILERS*** U2 eXPERIENCE + iNNOCENCE Tour - Rehearsals/Soundcheck Thread #2

Looking at the setlist, here's what could be fixed with some slight adjustments -- realistically speaking. Love Is All We Have Left The Blackout Lights Of Home Beautiful Day Last Night On Earth I Will Follow The Ocean Iris (Hold Me Close) Cedarwood Road Red Flag Day Sunday Bloody Sunday...

    ***SPOILERS*** U2 eXPERIENCE + iNNOCENCE Tour - Rehearsals/Soundcheck Thread #2

They can't play the same bloody setlist on night 2 in a city. Perhaps they'll do some MINOR song swaps.

    ***SPOILERS*** U2 eXPERIENCE + iNNOCENCE Tour - Rehearsals/Soundcheck Thread #2

Best Thing has got to go, or be thrown in after Staring at the Sun, terrible transition from Acrobat.

Will there be another US leg?

I don't think another US tour would sell all that well. They barely sold out the US dates on the JT30... so they're getting by with what they can for now. However, if they DID do a 2019 leg, it would probably be supporting Songs of Ascent which may be them on their way out.

*Rumor* - Larry to retire after E+I tour

I think it's a matter of time until the band calls it quits. They've always said it's better to go out on a high than it is to fade out. Looking at the ticket sales of this tour, they appear to be an indication that they're slowing down... of all the members I worry about the most, it's Bono...

Love Is Bigger Than Anything In Its Way appreciation thread

Faintly reminds me of "When I Look At The World" on ATYCLB. Lovely track, hearing the BBC live version, I'm sure it'll be in the setlist somewhere.

Love Is Bigger Than Anything In Its Way appreciation thread

Reminds me a lot of the "All That You Can't Leave Behind" era with the electronic like intro, almost like "When I Look At The World" part 2.

    Setlist predictions?

I know the tour doesn't begin until May of 2018 however, I can't help but wonder what may be in the setlist for E+i... This is merely a combination of what I'd like to see / what might have been played in the latest press. 1. The Blackout 2. I Will Follow 3. Cry / Electric Co. 4. Vertigo 5...

Spanish Eyes, Sweetest Thing... what other B sides will make it live?

Seeing as they've played two already played songs from the JT's b-sides, any bets on other songs being played live perhaps? I reckon Silver & Gold will make a return, it's very politically fitting. Perhaps Luminous Times or Walk to the Water? I recall one of those being sound checked in the 360...

The setlist needs structure and a bit of order too...

I've been noticing the setlist and can't help but see that the intro song, as well as the encores tend to be all over the place, I was thinking the other day of songs that they could play in a certain sequence that would build up to the Joshua Tree better, like a 'blast from the past' catalog...

Joshua Tree Tour 2017 - Rumors & General Discussion II

Amazing they busted out I Will Follow last night, almost as if they felt bored with closing with Little Things... Night 2 sounded terrific, MUCH better than Vancouver! Hoping Follow will stay in the setlist somewhere.
