New Mute Math album in the works

Awesome! I just saw them in Tulsa. They still push the boundaries of the small venue show. Incredible. And VITALS is an amazing album. I don't know why they're not huge either. Baffling. Look for a video for "Used To" soon...

    Arcade Fire 2: Arcade Harder

Perhaps. I'm sure it was like this when the "O Brother, Where Art Thou?" soundtrack won over ATYCLB in 2002.

New Radiohead album announced The King of Limbs

Exactly. They wouldn't have known that Arcade Fire was going to win Album of the Year when they planned all of this. That said, I love Arcade Fire and I'm happy for them, but a new Radiohead album is a bigger deal than an Arcade Fire award.

I heard she even bought a T-shirt at their live show. She doesn't just admire them, she's a real fan. I think it's cool when musicians truly get excited about other artists' work like that.

    Son Lux's NPR recording project

Son Lux is recording an album in 28 days (the month of February) and blogging about it regularly via The Wire/NPR. He's also sharing clips of ideas and explaining the instruments/programs he's using. It's truly fascinating. So far, MUTEMATH drummer Darren King and Midlake drummer Mckenzie Smith...

    The Civil Wars

It's not Radiohead or Flying Lotus or anything, but it's good solid songwriting. I saw them perform "Barton Hollow" on Leno a week or so ago and they totally killed it. I didn't expect it. YouTube - Barton Hollow-The Civil Wars-The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.avi
