    Who else missed out?

If you're willing to travel, see if you can get Adelaide tix. I got A reserve no troubles (though I was 7th in line). But it's gotta be worth it, and definitely easier than Sydney or Melbourne! Good luck

Australia/NZ - We Have Dates, But Still Desperate Thread

    Adelaide concert...this **may** be important..

The ticketmaster outlets at Rebel Sport at Marion and the city are definitely selling in person - I'm lining up at 7:30  As far as the line up goes, I really don't know. But I'm not taking any chances!

    Australia dates

I'll join you! Considering the new album has been consistently in the top 10 here since its release, and that they haven't been here for so long, I think U2 owe it to us to do a bit more than just stick to the eastern states. Also, with some decent artists coming to Adelaide in recent years...

OMG..I soo need you help girls!

Yay, more barechested Larry!!! I'd be me eight, but considering I've only just started visiting PLEBA, I don't know what the old one was like to miss it.

    Moobday: Just Chillin'

How is it that I never stumbled over this thread until now? To think what i've been missing....thank you so much!

10 shows in Australia and NZ on next tour

Good point - there are a lot of fairly new U2 fans like myself who've never had the chance to see them play live. Add to that all the existing fans who haven't seen them in 7 years, like you said, and I reckon you'll get some big audiences.

    Doh!!!

hee hee, who needs to watch the simpsons when you've got headache's running commentary to inform you AND amuse you. Keep up the good work (and tell the people who've recorded it and don't want it ruined: they don't HAVE to read your thread!)

    Randooooom....or else

Yay, my first post in a random thread on here!! (I think - unless I'm suffering from temporary amnesia) I haven't downloaded the new album. I could say it's coz I'm moral and wouldn't do that to my favourite band (which is true). Or it could be because I like the rush of getting a new cd on...

So...at least it'll be easy for you to double your posts and feel proud! (Oh, and cool username :))

    medieval castle in U.S.!

That would be so cool! But I think a medieval castle would look a bit out of place here (then again, I would've though it would look out of place in the US). It looks pretty cool tho!

What's your best album of 2004?

Absolute fave (for a few more weeks): The Sound of White by Missy Higgins

(11-07-2004) U2 Drummer Considers Acting Career -- contactmusic*

As a journalism student, I just have to say that that is a crap article. You can't write a headline like that and not back it up in the article! And like everyone has said, if Bono can do all his political stuff as well as U2, why can't Larry supplement his career with acting? I reckon it'd be...

Sweet! Nice to see a guy so excited about that, too. Now, where's mine? :)

Aussie aussie aussie, oi oi oi

Hi fellow Aussies! I've been around here for a while, and noticed a few Aussies, but have been too busy with uni (ok, make that too lazy) to bother seeking any out. So when else should I do it but tonight when I've come on the net to do research for one of my final essays. Anyway, I'm from...

10 shows in Australia and NZ on next tour

:scream: PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let them come to Adelaide!!! We've got a few venues: Entertainment Centre, Adelaide Oval & Memorial Drive. They'd be fantastic at Adelaide Oval, it's a beautiful venue, especially with St Peter's Cathedral all lit up in the background. AND I've found someone to go...

Aussies: Three magazines with U2 out today!

Oh, and I'm happy to make scans if anyone wants. Just PM me!;)

One month more: are you still in?

I'm so stressed with uni at the moment (3 weeks to go, yay!), I think I'd have a nervous break down if I couldn't take solace in u2. It keeps me sane!

Aussies: Three magazines with U2 out today!

I got the Rolling Stone one today...fantastic! Certainly brightened up a crap day. I didn't know about the others, so I'll keep an eye out for them. Thanks!

(10-21-2004) U2 ready to explode - The Star*

Wow...I feel like I'm going to burst with excitement! I don't know if I can wait until November 24th (release date here) although at least Vertigo's coming out soon to tide me over!

MERGED ----> Australia this year! + Australia Dec 2005 + U2 is coming to Australia...

U2 haven't been to Adelaide for so long I reckon they'd get a great audience. With the hugely expensive ticket prices we've been getting lately (e.g. $500+ for The Eagles) people would be happy to see a concert with tickets under $150!!! My pick for a venue would be the Adelaide Oval - I love...

Australia and the 2004 Olympic Games - Waltzing Matilda

:( :( :( They're all over. Our best Olympics ever, how fantastic is that!!! Some great highlights for silver on the last day - especially Mathew Helm's near-perfect 99.96 for the last dive of the competition, and the boys in the relay. Yay!!!

U2's music at the olympics too

Where the streets have no name is always popular at sports events - I've heard it when I've been to the cricket and the rugby.

The Official Athens 2004 Olympics Thread

I may get mobbed for this one, but I am actually quite glad Jana Pitmann didn't win (and I know I'm not the only person who feels this way). I don't like her attitude - she seems to be quite a drama queen, and kinda arrogant. I remember reading something about the per capita medal thing for...

    beautiful names

Yeah, surely every kid want a number in their name! I, too, love Ella. I found it quite amusing when one of my friends said she wanted to call her kids Mark and Ella, coz Mark Ella was a really famous Aussie rugby player.
