My favourite Pearl Jam album is Vitalogy mainly because of Eddie's broken-glass-throat-ripping screams. It's that simple, sadly. Yield is very good also.

I must say it's somewhat sad to me that many of the bands who cite U2 (ie. the Joshua Tree tour) as a 'mindblowing' inspiration to them, are, well, crap. LiVE come to mind. Also *****. Also more than a few lame christian-pop outfits.

I'd hate to think of this as Radiohead's All That You Can't Leave Behind. My observation of the day is that while the Radiohead of 2003 far exceeds the U2 of 2003, they wouldn't come close to the U2 of 1993. Also, if we must make analogies, I think Radiohead are moving in reverse. OK Computer...
