Ha ha - you're soooooo soooooooooooo right!
Life man -
Sometimes you play a bad game.
Sometimes you argue with someone that you love - even though you know you're in the wrong.
Sometimes you cut up a guy and ruin his day.
Sometimes you're just a jackass - and you know you are.
AND SOMETIMES U2...
This tour is definitely up in there.
Bullet is the best version since Popmart - an absolute killer track.
As people have already said, every tour has a 'static' setlist because they are:
1. Promoting their new album - showcasing (and even enjoying playing) their latest work.
2. Playing the...
Sorry, but that's total rubbish.
There's no more anti-Bono feeling here than anywhere else in the world where people are ignorant.
U2 are up against a different market these days - they're trying to compete in an industry that's youth-orientated and it's been that way since punk came onto the...
Hi all
I'm looking to identify 2 songs that were played in the background of the UK's ITV1 telelvision programme Dancing On Ice - yeh, I know.
I've uploaded the snippets - they're in the background behind the loud talking so listen carefully.
The first sounds like a Muse instrumental...
Yeh, I hate Eno too.....what? oh....'One'....sorry...
I'm gonna start a new thread "We fucking hate this thread, and here's why".
Sorry guys, but this is school kid stuff.
(and I realise the irony of posting in a thread that I think is childish....na naaaa na naaa naaaa)
:madspit:
On the contrary, they are releasing those extras FOR the diehards and giving tham a chance to buy those rarities.
As you pointed out, most fans won't bother buying the special editions because they already have the tracks on other releases.
So is it worth the mass-production, pressing and...
Hey guys - if you can't get 'em to work you can always have a look at what you're missing if you check my vids out

Pretty good post, but maybe we've got to admit that U2 fans seldom agree about anything!
It's good to disagree and 'argue' a point, but you're right: people need to enjoy the moment and appreciate it for what is is/was.
Hamish is too MTV-college-student-stylized for me.
The great thing about the early concert films is that they're not pretentious and that 'charm', that you speak of, is what a U2 concert is all about - the band playing lifor the fans and not for the director.
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Question for those who went to a popmart concert
Yeh there is. It's an audience shot. A bit shaky and the quality isn't the best for a cancorder from 97 but its great for the memories. A cool person sent it to me from another site. It's not complete.
Here's a link to...
Re: Re: Re: Re: Question for those who went to a popmart concert
There is a great sounding audience bootleg, but the radio broadcast is superior - it just omits Mysterious Ways as Bono sang a snippet of a George Harrison song My Sweet Lord, which at this concert Bono included as a dig at...
Re: Re: Question for those who went to a popmart concert
I was at that concert in Leeds - amazingly great atmosphere!
That Miami-Bullet segue is one of the band's best ever!
You mention that the only live version of Miami you have is frm the Edmonton show. Well, do you realise that there is a...
POP is a brilliant album! Exciting! Fun! Cool! Powerful!
And was a brilliant tour also - ah, the memories!
Whereas ATYCLB :madspit: (the sound of 4 men hitting 40 - no, not the song).
I enjoyed the Elevation tour though, but not nearly as much as the PopMart tour!
I HATE people who say "if...
