When I first heard Muse, I was convinced that is was a Swedish or maybe Eastern European band, singing songs written in Engrish by other non-English speakers, ala ABBA. The lyrics being that cheezy and nonsense. Did anyone else get that feeling?

To clarify at least what I meant with the post... yes I was actually talking just hardcore fan types on messageboards.
The tracks I listed for the other artists are not known outside their fandoms.
They're almost like part of a secret language among fans.
As in "Christ, that last post reads...
For fans of Joe Jackson, it's a track called Go For It.
For Rush fans, a track called Dog Years.
One song that is met with near universal groans and is the butt of countless jokes, and is used simply as a euphemism for "bad."
Looking at the "Worst of" thread here, it doesn't seem like U2 has...
I feel like I might be kinda there. But feel like it's too early to say anything for sure about the new one. I mean, it's not in my top 5, but I do like it a lot.

I actually felt dread at the thought of flipping through the tracks on POP. I knew that there were some clunkers and hadn't listened to it probably since 1999, but I'd forgotten the actual, physical revulsion I get at some of those tracks, ha! Christ...
