    big setlist omissions from SOE

Disappointed to see no mention of Landlady, Summer of Love or Red Flag Day being rehearsed (or Drowning Man). Sorry gents but Showmen is the weakest track on the record.

Petition - Piano arrangements that need guitar

Edge - Please, in the name of all things holy, play songs like Little Things primarily on guitar, not piano. The piano plods on Little Things live. It's very nice on piano but it's not a nice song - it's an intense song, like Bad, which would pair nicely with Little Things, not unlike a cabernet...

New Pre-Sale System Coming (And it sucks)

I had low expectations based on reports but this is falling below my low expectations. This set-up coerces long-time fans into paying scalpers for floor tix to enjoy the concert experience they've grown accustomed to.

New Pre-Sale System Coming (And it sucks)

Trying to get floor tix to DC and can't. Ridiculous. Been on floor every tour since Zoo TV. Innocence group. Are they gradually releasing floor tix? Can't imagine they're all sold out

You're the Best Thing About Me - Song Discussion

Anyone remember the original version of Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah? It was an awful mix. Never before has there been a bigger gap between musical genius and production. Time has been kind to that song it may be to this one. I also prefer the Kygo mix (especially the Nile Rodgeresque guitar)...

thanks - surprised more people didn't pick up on Bono's comments - very counter cultural. Very rock n' roll.

Bono Calls for Humility in the Age of Trump

I was surprised Bono's recent comments on U2.com didn't get more play so I wrote an essay about his perspective. Bono Calls for Humility in the Age of Trump "In the age of Donald Trump, it seems many artists are determined to build a wall between the Left and Right and ask their patrons to pay...

Still Unforgettable: The Unforgettable Fire 30th Anniversary Thread

Outstanding post. TUF was and is way ahead of its time. It still sounds fresh 30 years later and will probably sound as fresh 30 years from now.

    Your ideal "U2 age"

What a great thread. I'm 40 (sing this with me) and became a huge U2 at the age of 11 after my big brother came back from camp w/ an Under a Blood Red Sky t-shirt. I listened to SBS off UBRS over and over again on casette. My friends teased me that I didn't like real rock bands like Huey...
