also, it's different for them to license their own version of a song versus giving permission for someone else to sing it ...
i like them and i totally caved on downloading the new album. i think it is way different from their other stuff - especially from a guitar standpoint. lots of post punk and glam metal chords. definitely interesting so far ...
Bono is going to be publicly non-partisan for the rest of eternity ... so I don't see the election in any way influencing the band - aside from the fact that Bono will likely be doing so much activist work in the year leading up to the election that the band will not be together enough in order...
dying is such an awesome career move.
i think his most important contribution was influence rather than accomplishment. thom yorke and matt bellamy come to mind as 2 amazing singers in 2 amazing bands who definitely were influenced by buckley.
