Well...

About the lads performance tonight:

Music was way too soft in comparrison to bono's voice. At least here , do no know if this was due to the connection, the mix or the tv (not the band's fault though)
COBL in original key
Bono being Bono =
Bono's voice. Considering the circumstances(daylight, -5c temp) very good. He missed a bit sometimes but in general very good

Well, it surprised me. You know why? Because, it's predictable, and in the past on many ocasions, U2 were very predictable.

I love it that they didn't do One, for some reason it proves something to me. That they can still change and add new stuff, not repeating the same cycle over and over again. I think it's a good sign.

Now off to bed. Gotta get up at 6.30 am again!

Now that I think about it, One might be just a bit too melancholy-sounding for an event like this, despite the appropriateness of the lyric "We are one, but we're not the same."

I still would have given anything to hear Bruce Springsteen singing on part of it though. Oh, well, maybe someday.

I loved that Bono was singing his heart out and the band gave an emotional performance like it was their first time in front of a crowd. Brilliant.

Did you hear yesterdays performence and some of the Vertigo tour versions? :)

yesterday's performance was better but than again it was later in the evening and your voice sounds more "warmed up". It is looking good for the tour if you compare this to "the disaster of the superbowlvoice"

Bono was definitely a bit too much of a rock star for the circumstances, but  If he weren't he would be no Bono. For the same reason I was glad to hear some (appropriate IMO) political ranting.
Otherwise I found the performance quite average, but honestly, except us, who cares ? Anyway thank you so much for the link and the party :hyper:.

Bono's range here was worse than most of the Vertigo Tour. But last night was much better.

I absolutely love that he's singing in the proper key now. Even though there were a few rough patches in today's performance, I think they had little to do with his ability to hit notes. I'd say it bodes very well for the album and the tour. :hyper:

Thanks for the links

Sad to see not even an event like that can go down without the proper amount of Bono bashing. :|

He sounds great. They all do.

Love to see Obama's reaction.

Is there a link to Pride as well?

Is there a Bono bashing!?:doh::angry::down:

Stop it people. It was cold, his voice will be ACE during the tour!
In all seriousness. Although he messed up a few notes I am actually very excited.
He looks happy, was completley overexcited which effects the voice but his voice will be better during the tour.

love y'all
