Don't like the look of him, nor really his style of play, and for his height and size and talent he just seems to have consistently underachieved.

First time ever at the tennis today... of course, I didn't see a single ball, spent the whole arvo in the Heineken beer garden. Was good though, Ivanovic's upset of Williams was incredible, Serena choked hardcore.

Loved it, and have to say, it's probably better than going to the cricket. Will definitely be back.

And you went during the 4th round! Try and get a weekday off in the first week and you can catch some high stakes singles action on the wee outer courts. Always great fun following players with lower rankings. And then hit the beer garden from 6pm until midnight.

We really are quite privileged to have one of only four Grand Slam tournaments on our doorstep. It really is one of the best times of year!

Yeah will definitely go early in week one in the future. Was desperate to see Berdych on MCA but my mates preferred to keep drinking in the beer garden.

How good's this:

Serena didn't lose it or 'choke.' Ivanovic won it and the match was played on her terms.

She seemed to be playing some awful tennis in that third set. Ivanovic was very good, for sure.

Stan the Man.

Can't believe he got it on an unforced error from Djokovic. Bit sad, I do love the Djoker, but we all love the underdog.

BoMac 01-21-2014 09:37 AM

What the hell is an arvo?

GirlsAloudFan 01-21-2014 11:01 AM

Genie.

Always liked Wawrinka so very happy with the result.

Keep the upsets coming, your turn Dimitrov and Federer.

intedomine 01-24-2014 06:33 AM

Disappointing. Wanted an all Swiss men's final. Carn Stanislas in the final.

LJT 01-24-2014 07:56 PM

Wawrinka I believe is 0-12 against Nadal...I also believe he has never taken even a set off him. So yeah Nadal to get his 14th major and equal Sampras.

French Open is a given unless there is a "Soderling event". Then I would say he's 50/50 for Wimbledon but kinda depends how physically he is holding up.

He would be only one behind Federer by then. We shall see what happens though.

Vlad n U 2 01-26-2014 04:49 AM

Nadal in all sorts of trouble right now. Struggling to run.

youarenotimmune 01-26-2014 04:54 AM

What's wrong with Nadal? Is it his back? Fatigue?

Vlad n U 2 01-26-2014 05:01 AM

Surely can't be fatigue? He's been rolling through his earlier matches.

I'm guessing it's back related.

Vlad n U 2 01-26-2014 05:20 AM

Stan has absolutely lost it.

youarenotimmune 01-26-2014 05:24 AM

Yea, and Nadal seems to be fine now!

Vlad n U 2 01-26-2014 05:43 AM

Not quite, still serving noticeably slower than usual. Overall better than it was an hour ago, definitely.
