kafrun 03-13-2006 01:43 AM

VP - in regards to your post in the last thread, you might have a nasty trigger point. I can't tell for sure without proper assessment of course  Do you remember your therapist's full name? And was she registered?

bono_212 03-13-2006 01:45 AM

 the worst part of this current bad patch is on us right now...but it's moving VERY fast....sadly there's another line of storm abouta half an hour behind it

<wanted to be a meteorologist when she was younger :nerd:

I just found her business card the other day, so yes, I remember her last name. And I would assume she's registered. She was probably 30-ish, but she hadn't been in the business all that long, she'd just finished school and was trying to build a clientele.

bono_212 03-13-2006 01:53 AM

 how coudl you John....that cut me deep...that cut me real deep

Awwww. :( maybe learning more about them would help ease your fear? I think that's what happened with me, I became a weather geek, and learned, and it made things better. :)

kafrun 03-13-2006 01:55 AM

VP - You can do a search for her: https://www.cmto.com/imis_eseries/so...mberSearch.cfm

Irishteen 03-13-2006 01:55 AM

^^^ I didn't mean it that way, I was just saying, their is more important stuff to me than Describe

bono_212 03-13-2006 01:56 AM

^ That's why I became a weather geek...it did help me a lot...I used to not be able to turn off the weather channel when it stormed and I used to cry...obviously I'm a lot older now, but trust me...I'm a lot better about storms than I used to be

^^ I was only kidding john...i'm very aware that there are more important things in life than the computer

discotech 03-13-2006 01:56 AM

Thank you so much!! I'll try to look her up. :)

Curious, is there an ethical thing about who gets to retain the client, when someone leaves a massage business?

Night Disco

It's SW Ontario, and the storm is moving from west to east. So, you're in Indiana? It would be past you.

bono_212 03-13-2006 02:02 AM

oh ok...well this would be the line coming at me right now

https://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c9...large_usen.jpg

bono_212 03-13-2006 02:03 AM

I thought that your storm was stronger than my storm but then I saw that your map goes two color levels higher than mine and for some reason that made me

kafrun 03-13-2006 02:05 AM

VP - there's certain ethical, contractural issues as to who retains a client, yes.. Depends on the situation

Irishteen 03-13-2006 02:05 AM

^^ You have an interesting sense of humour................

bono_212 03-13-2006 02:07 AM

I think i'm just in panic mode so Im laughing at everything right ow...I just told my friend that she had to weather this storm with me :|

Irishteen 03-13-2006 02:11 AM

Irishteen 03-13-2006 02:14 AM

^^ I bet there will be a big party in me school for him, because everyone there loves U2

Actually if anything, this will just be hate U2 day

VintagePunk 03-13-2006 02:15 AM

Yikes, that storm does look worse! I think with my radar map, it's a smaller area, so it's more detailed, and that makes it look worse in comparison to yours. I'm sure you'll be fine, though.

kafrun, I wondered about that. I thought that she would have called me if she'd left, and when she didn't, I didn't know if it was because she wasn't allowed to, or if she quit that line of work completely.

kafrun 03-13-2006 02:20 AM

VP - :hmm: Well that depends on the setup.. Some places will require their MTs to sign a non-competition clause, so that they can't take clients with them when they leave. This, however, violates the MTs professional obligation to let the client know where they go when they move their place of practice. So technically they shouldn't be signing these clauses.. it violates the policies of regulating body of massage therapists in Ontario :tsk:

haha.. what exciting reading material for everyone else in this thread :p

VintagePunk 03-13-2006 02:22 AM

Yay!!! I found her!!! kafrun, thanks again SO much!

I got all scared because I searched my city and she wasn't there, but when I did a wider search, I saw that she's now in this small town right next to my city. :)

kafrun 03-13-2006 02:23 AM

^ huzzah :applaud: Glad to be of service.

 I started with all the massage talk. :reject: Thanks for all the info, you've been very helpful! It's nice knowing that if it happens again, I'm not destined for weeks of hellish agony.

kafrun 03-13-2006 02:25 AM

^ It's ok, I don't mind talking about it at all. My career is my passion  Good luck with getting rid of that pain!

bono_212 03-13-2006 02:27 AM
