Robbie Fowler finally scored - good to see him back even tho I am not a liverpool fan and even though he always seems to score against Arsenal.

the rockin edge 03-16-2006 01:42 AM

haha, ooooh what Liverpool would've given for a couple of those goals yesterday to be scored against Benfica instead:wink:

1stepcloser 03-16-2006 09:57 AM

i bet fowler doesn't score again for another 10 games now...

Aardvark747 03-17-2006 01:12 PM

^He might aswell follow Crouch's example!

the rockin edge 03-17-2006 02:48 PM

Another good win for Arsenal this weekend. Def clicking into gear in time for crucial end of season - Juventus next week.. finger biting tension i suspect..

the rockin edge 03-20-2006 12:01 AM

and once again jose mourinho proves what a bad loser he is...:tsk:

although you can't win with him cause if chelsea win we get to see what a bad winner he is

he should just shut up after games.

so for this weeks FA Cup...go Newcastle

1stepcloser 03-20-2006 07:33 AM

can't believe fulham had a pitch invasion. Losers (well, i suppose they were winners as well lol).

Portsmouth look they are going to try the great esape now. the relegation battle is getting really interesting. If West Brom and Birmingham both went down, in the words of Kevin Keegan, i would LOVE IT!

O' Leary has to go too, i've had enough of him :banghead:

U2Man 03-20-2006 02:11 PM

Fulham

What the heck is it with this FA Cup quarter-final schedule? Utter crap. Play all the games on the Saturday and get it over with. I think it demeans the Cup, really, which is still the greatest football competition on earth.

the rockin edge 03-20-2006 05:50 PM

the schedule is to give england an extra week to prepare for the world cup.

although i don't see why the games couldn't all be on wednesday or thursday.

bono_man2002 03-20-2006 09:00 PM

C'mon Sundy

:reject:

the rockin edge 03-21-2006 08:48 PM

i bet 1step enjoyed the fa cup result today :giggle:

Party Boy 03-21-2006 11:44 PM

So did Birmingham stick out an under-12 team to play Liverpool?? 7-0 loss while playing at home.. against Liverpool, who previously couldnt score in a brothal with an open cheque book. Steve Bruce on borrowed time i think

the rockin edge 03-21-2006 11:47 PM

i dunno what the b'ham team was

but Liverpool did beat Fulham 5-1 the other day too:shrug:

i come home from uni this sunday for a month, can't wait to give all the silly birmingham fans a piece of my mind.

7-0 hahaha

Party Boy 03-22-2006 01:26 PM

Did anyone see this on the BBC sports site?

hey guys, check out this petition

please sign it for me :p and anyone else who will watch the world cup in America.

most commentary on espn is a disgrace to football :scream:

Party Boy 03-22-2006 04:30 PM

Done!

1stepcloser 03-23-2006 07:09 AM

done as well.

American commentators are the worst. worse than john motson.

Party Boy 03-23-2006 08:54 AM

I miss Barry Davies - used to like him. And poor old Brian Moore (RIP)

thanks guys

yeah, john motson is waaaay better

i think i'd rather listen to a game with spanish commentary than one with american commentary.

speaking of which i just watche the usa lose 4-1 to germany. 1st half was utter rubbish from both teams, 2nd half germany were ok and the usa went to bits. based on that showing neither team will do well this summer.

Party Boy 03-23-2006 11:10 PM

Its hard to believe the USA are ranked number 7 (or close to that) in the world. Dont think either team has a hope in hell.

I reckon its between 5 teams - Brazil, Argentina, Italy, Spain or England.

the USA are ranked number 5

:|

and i'm not kidding.

yeah, i'd say even take Spain out of that list.

1stepcloser 03-24-2006 06:14 AM

Holland could do well. they've got some excellent young players such as Heitinga, Castelan, Huntelaar and Kuyt.

And Van Persie (if he can stay fit and stay away from random strange girls..)

the rockin edge 03-24-2006 01:19 PM

yeah, true. i forgot about holland.

of course there's always the chance that holland or argentina don't get out of the group of death.

Party Boy 03-24-2006 01:23 PM

Yeah thats true - also if France put it together, they could also have a great summer. However, there is something not quite clicking with the french team at the moment

the rockin edge 03-24-2006 01:44 PM

yeah, i don't see france doing anything special.

the rockin edge 03-24-2006 04:01 PM

in regard to that guy who guessed the 7-0 scorline correctly.

https://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/foot...em/4842218.stm

Party Boy 03-24-2006 04:06 PM

15 seconds of fame time :)

He will probably beat Lawro though as his predictions are normally 100% wide of the mark

the rockin edge 03-24-2006 04:12 PM

yeah, a couple seasons ago i did predictions and i did as good as lawro. and i wasn't watching any games to see how teams were playing

Party Boy 03-27-2006 10:10 AM

So tomorrow is the big one - Arsenal - v - Juventus. Gutted I am not there to watch it - be interesting to see the reception Vieira gets, considering some of his recent comments.

I reckon we can beat them.. but its going to be a nervy 90 minutes!

roy keane 03-27-2006 12:04 PM

I never thought this would happen , but I'll be with Arsenal 100%. Juve is the worst thing in football

i'd rather watch Barca & Ronaldinho destroy them in the final.

Utd 3-0 B'ham

that result may make 1step as happy as me.
