HTDAAB re-enters at #46!!!!

I should know within a few days what its positions were in top 100 for the past few weeks if it was charted... just gotta wait for the Pandora site to update.

Well I've already found out! The pandora site had up to week 64 and at that point it was not in top 100... I'm guessing it must have been in top 100 somewhere last wk (wk 65) before jumping up to #46 this week.

I wonder how much higher the tour will cause HTDAAB to rise in Australia. Is the top ten on the cards? :hmm:

(And might older albums like JT chart?)

I'm sure that other U2 albums will chart after the concerts in Australia. HTDAAB will probablay be in the Top 10, JT and the two Best Ofs have the best chances to enter the charts.

In Chile OOTS is now #31 most palyed song!Nobody knows if the song is in the top 50 airplay's song in Uk?

'Original' dropped off the UK top 50 airplay last week (to # 83) & it's not in the top 50 this week. So really with Bomb now off the top 200 again i'd say it's now, sadly, as good as finished selling in the UK (i think it'll probably do another 20-40k during the rest of this year).

Hitsdailydouble is not accurate at this point. The sales can change with every percent, it's not a logic evolution so that we could say it will sell 10k. It's only an indication.

Excellent reminder!

I recall some nasty vindictive reporter used the early Hits data when HTDAAB was first released and reported that sales would be a rather "lowly" 600,000 (in the U.S.), far below expectations.

What that reporter did was extrapolate. 50% of the data was in, HTDAAB sold ~300,000 copies, so the final number must be 600,000 copies. Wrong.

50% of the sites reporting are just that, nothing more. Some sites might see a boom of a particular artist, while others nothing. For example, in some urban areas, I would not expect U2 to sell as well.

So at this point, all we can say is that still appears to be floating near the Top 50. It's final number may drop as low as 70 or rise to 40. We'll see. But it suggests not a huge drop, which is a good thing (if true).

In Argentina, HTDAAB is out of the shipment chart of the week (#1 last week, it's a Top 20) but The Joshua Tree re-enter the top 100 at #2 !

No bomb in top #40 New Zeland!

Surprising drop in the US but Kelly Clarkson dropped, Mariah dropped big, Green Day dropped, John Legend dropped big, Coldplay dropped. The post grammy boost is wearing out quickly, but remember that HTDAAB wasn't even in the top 200 when it won those awards. It has been out for like a year and 3 or 4 months, so we shouldn't expect that the grammys were going to have a huge impact.

It is shocking how much Train's album is flopping and how Barry Manilow has stayed at the top of the charts although he dropped big this week. I am also surprised at how Bon Jovi just keeps trucking along.

I think # 300 is usually about 600-700 so, yes, i think 20k is a good estimate.

Week 66 is the correct week for that week though : in Japan it was released a week earlier so Week 67 should now already be in (anyone know the result yet ?).

In the UK OOTS actually goes way back up 29 spots to # 54 on the top 100 airplay chart !

Also, artist album sales went down 17.5% so Bomb probably would have sold around 900. So it's approx UK total is now 1,209,000.

It is pretty amazing that here we are in the 3rd calendar year after HTDAAB was released, and just like with ATYCLB, the album is still in the BB Top 100 due to an avalanche of Grammy Awards. The academy may be making up for past sins, especially snubbing AB, but I still think U2 is putting out the best music around these days, and HTDAAB is going to stay as one of my favorite all-time albums.
