I see people are getting salty on FB because some people in Vegas didn't post up that there was something happening! Except they did! Drama!

Trying to find the two I saw earlier... the timeline is all screwed up though, every second post is the same video or a picture of Larry proclaiming he might now be playing the gigs and all is well, he's not quitting the band, take that those of you who every doubted his commitment. etc.

Was that Edge wearing this tour's most-expensive merch piece, a leather jacket with AB logo on the back?

Bono didn't look like shit, so that's something.

Still with those glasses, though

And that's kind of the biggest problem.

I'm not expecting him to be David Bowie, but the guy hasn't had a new look in close to, what, 10 years?

Get a damned stylist.

Probably the best he’s looked in a while. But yeah, the damn glasses. Adam also got a haircut.

I was front and center for this in East Lancing and Pittsburgh. I think it's the reason why I'm afraid to do GA again.

The new song is ok. Miles better than song saved my life garbage. Sounds to me like a song that was finished on the rush for these Vegas shows to have something new to play. I would expect them to tack it on somewhere near the end like they did with little things on Joshua tree tour.

I don’t hear the miracle comparison and certainly doesn’t sound like if I go crazy tonight at all. Definitely more of a pop vibe than all the talk about a full on guitar / rock album.

The chorus is a straight rip off of “call me” by blondie

It's hard to really hear the instruments in this video shoot. More waiting for the single release.

The song sounds pretty clear to me and I can't hear shit. You guys are making it sound like it's a beach clip recorded 1000 miles away.

Oh, I can hear it. It sounds like Bono singing karaoke too loud.

You can hear enough to know what’s going on, but there’s lots of detail missing and clarity etc. I imagine a studio version will sound markedly better - not just because it’s clear, but because you’ll get all the grey bits coloured in that live overdubs recorded on iPhones don’t give you.

Glasses need a major overhaul.

However, you're right. Best he's looked since before the bike accident! Good shape (for him anyways).

Bono, Adam and Edge all look good and somehow very Vegas without it being overdone. They seem to be leaning away from the more cringe moments.

Larry, though!!The guy we're all worried about. Looks spectacular! The hair more JT/Fall 2006 (end of Vertigo) seems to do wonders for him versus how it was on E&I/JT 30. Played great, moved around great and seemed to be in good spirits.

In a reasonable world (asking too much these days?), this would put to bed any ridiculous conspiracy theories that Larry quit or that they booted him out. Or he's not on board in any way.

This was the rare VERY SMART move by post- McGuiness U2 on that front. Especially given how private Larry is and likely told the others he's said all he's saying on the topic.

This was a great way to set the record straight without saying it.

The B man is looking great, but please, those glasses!!!!

The sound on the live stream I joined was much clearer than any of the videos I've seen since - you could really make out the guitar and bass riffs. Can't wait to hear it properly though.

To be fair, the posts I've seen since yesterday have all been along the lines of "yay, Larry's back, the quitting rumours are all nonsense" so its done the trick.

They could just have, you know, released a short interview with Larry or even a single social media post with a few lines from him, at any point this year. That would also have done the trick.

Decision making and social media engagement from the band post-McG has been baffling.

Not for nothing - the guy who knows a guy who knows a guy told me that Larry signed on for one final run before calling it a day, and that doesn't really change with his showing up for one video shoot.

Alas, cary on
