While I initially have no complaints with the setlist itself, it seems rather odd to be playing a continuation of Innocence songs on the Experience tour even they go hand in hand. That being said, any kind of 'swap outs' or additional songs aren't too rare because they won't straight up play a ton of rarities (alienating their audience)

That being said, here's what I believe is a realistic setlist with better segues.

1. Love Is All We Have Left
2. The Blackout
3. Lights Of Home
4. Beautiful Day
5. I Will Follow
6. Last Night On Earth
7. All Because Of You
8. The Ocean
9. Landlady
10. Red Flag Day
11. Sunday Bloody Sunday
12. Until the End of the World
(Intermission - Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me)

13. Elevation
14. Vertigo
15. Trying To Throw Your Arms Around The World
16. Acrobat
17. Book Of Your Heart
18. Summer Of Love
19. Pride (In the Name of Love)
20. Get Out Of Your Own Way
21. American Soul
22. City of Blinding Lights

encore(s):
23. Love Is Bigger Than Anything in its Way
24. 13 (There Is A Light)
25. The Little Things That Give You Away

12 Songs from SOE.

A little more structure as once you go past Acrobat, thought Book Of Your Heart is almost a ZooTV/AB type song, so it allows Bono to play up MacPhisto very theatrical.

Then Summer Of Love starts to veer into a more political type direction.

A song from POP to showcase more of a rocker than just ABOY. Segue from Ocean into Landlady would be seamless.

I posted this in another thread but here's mine:

So...I think I fixed the setlist, I tried to substitute certain songs in the set with other songs that had similar themes but I tried to make the show more experience focused instead of innocence and take advantage of the newer and cooler screen so I chose songs that I think would have cool visuals, additionally I tried to make sure it was lighter on stuff that was played on JT 2017 and I+E aside from the big hits:

1. Love Is All We Have Left
2. The Blackout
3. Lights of Home
4. Beautiful Day
5. Discotheque (to kick off the mini Pop set and replace All Because of You)
6. Gone (replacing I Will Follow)
7. Mofo (replacing Iris, they're both about Bono's mom but Mofo is from an older man's perspective)
8. Kite (replacing Cedarwood Road and this song is about Bono's dad)
9. Landlady (replacing Song for Someone, this is the Ali song)
10. Seconds (always felt this song had a bigger world focus than SBS thus fits more with experience plus it shows they were writing about experience at an early age)
11. Please (replacing Raised By Wolves, this is more of an experience song)
12. Until the End of the World (duh)
*intermission* Numb
13. Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me (this should kick off the encore, it's one of their best live songs and playing a prerecorded version in the intermission is a cop out, replacing Elevation)
14. The Fly (replacing Vertigo)
15. A Man and a Woman (here's where the acousticish section starts, replacing Staring at the Sun)
16. You're the Best Thing About Me
17. Desire (full band)
18. Acrobat
19. Bullet the Blue Sky
20. Drowning Man (used as a transition piece)
21. Where the Streets Have No Name (replacing City of Blinding Lights)
22. Pride
23. Get Out Of Your Own Way
24. American Soul
*encore break*
25. Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses
26. All I Want Is You (replacing One)
27. Love Is Bigger Than Anything In It's Way

I actually wish I could’ve seen the Tulsa setlist. Just remove SFS and add NYD, and I’d be very happy. I’m ok with TJT not being there.

You people are crazy. They're lazy. They're not going to do a Pop mini set. You have to make the switch outs easier and still keep the thematic consistency. Drop SOI songs for other songs. The hits have to remain in same qty.

Love Is All We Have Left
The Blackout
Lights of Home
Beautiful Day
The Best Thing
I Will Follow
The Ocean
Iris (Hold Me Close)
Cedarwood Road
Landlady (with SFS coda)
Sunday Bloody Sunday
Please
UTEOTW

The Showman
Desire

Red Flag Day
Staring at the Sun

Pride (In the Name of Love)
Get Out of Your Own Way
American Soul
City of Blinding Lights

Love is Bigger Than Anything In Its Way (with 13 coda)

I'm fine with the mostly downer ending being lifted up by Love is Bigger to send everyone out on a high note.

If I was Willie Williams I would push for this set list. Nothing extremely crazy and also quite easy to rotate a few songs without drastically changing the themes of the show.

Love is All We Have Left (purely as an intro piece with no awkward Bono lip sync)
1. The Blackout
2. Lights of Home
3. All Because of You
4. I Will Follow
5. The Ocean
6. New Years Day
7. A Sort of Homecoming
8. Get Out of Your Own Way
9. 13
10. Sunday Bloody Sunday
11. Raised By Wolves
12. Until the End of the World
HMTMKMKM (interval)
13. The Fly (Bono as the Fly)
14. Acrobat
15. The Miracle of Joey Ramone (acoustic)
16. Staring at the Sun (acoustic)
17. The Little Things That Give You Away
18. Zooropa
19. Where The Streets Have No Name
20. Pride
21. American Soul

22. Whose Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses
23. Love is Bigger Than Anything Else
24. Angel of Harlem
25. Bad/40

Definitely include The Electric Co, Gloria, Out of Control and Two Hearts Beat as One in the opening rotation slot. SOH needs to make an appearance but realistically I can see Beautiful Day taking that spot. Switch up Staring at the Sun with either Stay or Stuck in a Moment. An acoustic Joey Ramone can be used to switch up You're the Best Thing About Me. Drop the Macphisto persona so we can pull back on some of the cringe. Bring back The Fly (both the song and persona) to liven up the place. Zooropa -> Streets segue is simply SUPERB. Close the show on a high with Bad, 40 (whole song or snippet) or All I Want is You.

That would be a huge improvement and a great show.

Fixed... Only added one song that isn't currently being played, but it's from the new album so it fits. Otherwise just moved some things around and changed acoustic to full band.

Switch the last two and tag 13 for the very end so Bono can get his theatrical closure and I'm in. Still think the MacPhisto section needs The Showman.

You still get the big bang at the end of the more sing-along-y Love is Bigger, and it's an upbeat note. Little Things crescendo benefits from the four man huddle positioning. I'm ok with splitting the band for the final song across the I, E and "C" stages... if it's not Little Things.

I totally agree with all that this setlist needs to be reworked. I do really like SOI/SOE so I’m fine with them having a big presence but things are way too stagnant. In 2015 for most of the US leg at least the alternate stage set was mixed up every night. As well as the Out of Control/Electric Co slot and the closer and occasional “Bad” performance. Dropping Wild Horses was a mistake this tour. But it wouldn’t shock me if it returns at some point.

With all that said, I am not panicking. It’s very early in the tour and as I’ve learned from past tours things can change overnight. At some point I think it will here. Most of the suggestions posted here seem reasonable and big improvements.

Looking forward to the tour swinging out east next month and getting to a couple shows!

Any predictions on what the rework of the set will be for the European shows? If any at all? Will American soul survive

After seeing the show twice and having my heart broken over Gloria, I wanted to revisit the setlist to how I feel it would work best for me. Just using songs they’ve done over these two tours, no wild wish list inclusions.
