Probably because it's a change. Give it a few shows before making a snap decision...

It also makes for a tough decision when I am a big (both literally and metaphorically) Johnny Cash fan.

Someone else mentioned that Discotheque could rotate through the MW/EBTTRT spot. This is indeed true, but it would have to be more like a Popmart arrangement for an intro instead of the Vertigo version.
 
I love Real Thing and Mysterious Ways but neither really *gets there* with me on this tour, and in the case of EBTTRT, the audience either.

first time in *eight* shows for this, remember when we thought this was gonna be the opener for this tour?
 
Man, the sound on Meerkat really stinks tonight. I can hear Larry really well, and that's about it.
 
Praying we don't get OL tonight, but I'd be quite surprised if we didn't.
